Uncleanliness is not acceptable in any hospital setting. During cleaning the cafeteria, the floor mats were placed on cafeteria tables and counters. IV's were changed without cleaning the tubing with alcohol. Snack areas were unkept and unclean. As far as care, sheets had many large holes in them. The snack area had no snacks, juice, etc.... It took me 12 hours to get a canister of ice. The departure from the hospital was unsafe. If resturants, hair salons, and other businesses must be inspected for cleanliness then hospitals must raise the bar. Patients should not be sent home to have a high temp due to a secondary infection within less than 24 hours of being dismissed from the hospital.
