9/4/09. Went in for kidney stones. Received best care I have ever received from a hospital. I live in OK but still received the best of care. Staff was excellent! Friendly Hospital. 9/19/09, back in OK (Sat) and doctor called me at home to insure I was doing well. I've never had followup like this and out of state. Can't say enough good about this hospital and it's emergency room staff.

My Aunt was sent to St. John's from a nursing home for psychiatric evaluation for depression as an Alzheimer patient. She was placed on a senior patient floor - Floor 2. I do not know what the goal of this hospital is but for the money I am sure they will charge to Medicare and her other insurance it is little better than a hovel. The beds have a threadbare cover; the walls are dingy white and the room just depressing. If she was not already depressed and had thoughts of suicide...she most certainly did after being there very little time. You had to pass through a television viewing room where patients were sitting in their own urine (there was a very distinctive urine smell) while the nursing staff congregated around the desk talking. It is deplorable!! They moved my aunt to another room without even telling the family. In moving her they left behind personal items and my cousin had to then go get her things. It is disgraceful how this hospital is taking care of their elderly patient.
