This rating is for the ER room only: Watch out if you're going to their ER room. You'll be billed $179 just for walking through the door. The staff were very business-like and couldn't laugh at any jokes, either -- so don't try to humor them or expect them to make your stay very relaxing. The room is packed with Medicaid recipients, and you'll likely listen to people talk about the doctors and nurses they're on a first-name basis with because of their weekly checkups, which they joked with me about the hospitalists being their PCPs rather than going to their main doctor for a migraine problem... This hospital is very FOR profit and is also quite religious. You will get better treatment if you say you're a Seventh-Day-Adventist. Watch out for their bill collections, too -- even after you pay the bill, you'll get calls by a robot that says you have "personal business" and it makes you return the call. When you do, you'll be on hold, and because you call them, they won't have to follow the fair credit collection act. Despite paying my bill immediately, their robot didn't think so, and called for 3 weeks until I started saying, "#4 - Person does not live here." Good luck. I'd recommend going down to OP Regional. They have flat screen TVs and staff that are willing to talk with you, rather than just treat you like another medical record number.
