I am a volunteer at Golden Living and I would NEVER send a family member here. I see patients everyday that sit in dirty diapers for hours, today I helped a woman crying in the hallway who had been left and promised that someone would come help her go to the bathroom an hour earlier, and the nurse never came. I asked at least fifteen people to help her and they all said "I'm on break". I had to force someone to come help her, who knows how long she would have sat there alone. They disregard chair and bed alarms (which indicate someone needs help, or that someone has fallen out of their chair) while they sit chatting at the nurses station. They treat the residents like they are sub-human and it is horrifying.

My wife was admitted to this facility last year. I would not recommend the place. Her overall treatment was horrible. Slow response to call button. Fell trying to get to toilet twice. Therapist ignored her dementia and did little to rehabilitate, was rude and left on her own to find her way back to room. Staff talks a good program but response is very poor.

I would not recommend this facility. we had a family member in for over a week. The neglected to answer the call buttons numerous times causing accidents. The delay in physical therapy and overall treatment made it very clear that they only wanted the payment from Medicare.

We found all staff with the exception of 2 were slow, uncaring and ignored the needs of the patients. The administrator on the nursing floor was the worst offender. And she was the one in charge! After 3 days in there we realized there was no other option but to call 911 and have her removed and taken to the ER to receive the care she required due to her excruciating pain. The nursing home said it was too soon to administer more pain meds and only offered her a Tylenol. Our mother was Stage 4 matastisized colon cancer. We took her home from the ER and she passed away 3 days later. We Thank God for Hospice for the loving care and dignity they gave her in her final days. Hospice was definitely sent to us by God.
