I was at this facility for short-term rehab after breaking my hip in an auto accident. The staff here is very unhappy with management and this shows in their customer service. I stayed there for 4 days before calling my husband and asking him to find someplace else for me to rehab. I am a 57 y/o female who can take care of myself for the most part and it was a good thing because nobody took care of me. I contacted the corporate office before I left to tell them of my concerns. They don't care as long as the facility makes their budget. Nice infastructure, but poor care equals look for another place to rehab.

I would never recommend a family member going to this nursing home. The care there is out of control. This company cannot keep employees; in the time my mom was there I saw 8 employee's quit do understaffing and being over worked. The employee turnover rate is incredibly high, every C.N.A that did care for us always in the worst of moods and in a panic rush. Most had none too little experience. There weren’t any veteran employee’s working there. The Director of nursing would threaten the employee's with termination if they did not agree to work exhausting hours. I saw one Cna, work a double shift and then have to work 3 hours over on her last shift, do to employees walking out on their job, because they could not take the work environment any longer. A new C.N.A or L.P.N would be taking care of my mother on a daily basic with no experience. I was afraid to leave my mother in the care of the regency on the lake. The care given was atrocious to say the least. To no fault of the employee's. The director of nursing was out of control and not suited for her job at all, and very inconsiderate of her residents and employees alike. I don’t recommend you having a family member get care or become a resident at the Regency On The Lake.

MY 91 YEAR OLD MOTHER WAS REFERRED FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY AFTER LOSING AN INTEREST IN WALKING. MOM WAS AT REGENCY THREE DAYS BEFORE ANY ACTION WHATSOEVER WAS TAKEN. SHE DID NOT RECIEVE A SHOWER UNTIL THE FAMILY DEMANDED SHE GET ONE AFTER FOUR DAYS. SHE WAS PROMISED A TUB BATH ALSO AT SOME PIONT AND THAT NEVER HAPPENED FOR THE THREE WEEKS SHE WAS THERE. WHEN SHE FINALLY BEGAN P.T. WHICH IS WHY SHE WAS THERE, AIDES WERE NOT GIVEN PERMISSION TO TEST HER WALKING TO AND FROM THE BATHROOM IN HER ROOM. NOR DID SHE WALK TO THE DINING ROOM. SHE WAS MOVED IN A WHEELCHAIR EVERYWHERE. SHE WAS ABLE TO WALK, BUT HAD LOST INTEREST. STAFF LACKED COMMUNICATION BIG TIME AND IT SEEMED NO ONE WAS EVER SURE WHAT ACTUALLY DID HAPPEN. HER BOTTOM DENTURES WERE THROWN AWAY AND NEVER RE SURFACED! SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO FROM THEN ON BE ON A MECHANICAL DIET. (MEAT GROUND, SOFT FOODS) NO ATTENTION WAS GIVEN TO THIS AND SHE RECIEVED MEALS AS THEY WERE DESCRIBED FORM THE DAILY MENU. SHE COULD NOT CHEW HER FOOD! ALTHOUGH WE INDICATED FAMILY WOULD TAKE CARE OF ALL LAUNDRY, WE HAD TO GO THROUGH A LONG DRAWN PROCESS MORE THAN ONCE TO RETRIEVE HER CLOTHING FROM THEIR LAUNDRY. ONE DAY IN PARTICULAR WHEN SHE BECAME ILL WHILE GETTING HER HAIR DONE, SHE WAS TAKEN BACK TO HER ROOM AND LEFT WITH A BUCKET. I HAPPENED ALONG TO HELP HER AND CLEAN HER UP. NO ONE CAME TO HER ROOM FOR 45 MINUTES TO CHECK ON HER. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON........ PATIENTS ARE NEGLECTED!!! PERIOD!
