I wouldn't put a female in the Poplarville nursing home. There's a preacher who holds a service there one night each week who has used made-up email accounts to send pictures of his erections to a woman in Pearl River County. He has also posted on a porn site under a fake identity. The county sheriff has been made aware of it.

The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. The facility is very old and much of the plumbing is very out dated and not in good repair. Food it terrible. Most often cold or at very best air temperature. Most often if there is pancakes there is no butter or syrup. VERY POOR food quality. Generally you can't cut the pork chops. I have seen more than once a helper trying to cut a chop only to have it fly across table. Night shift hardly ever gets meds to residents on time and sometimes don't even get them. I know I gave a 4 star rating, but that is for day shift.

it seems to me as if one if these ratings are based on the hospital, not nursing home. as far as the nursing home goes, its excellent. they encourage ask residents to get out if bed daily and attend activities. your loved one will feel so at home. my grandmotherwas here for several years and we loved all the staff and would highly recommend this place to anyone. far better than other nursing homes.

This facility is a top notch facility. I have worked at this facility and now have a loved one in that facility. The level of care given to my grandmother is superb. I have also worked at this facility. It is pleasurable to go to work and see the smiles on their faces. Therapy is in house so the therapist know the residents and their abilities. In the swing bed part of the facility, nurse to patient ratios are 1 to 5 which as a nurse, allows more one on one care. I would highly recommend this facility.

I have worked in many nursing homes throughout the years. My grandmother resides in this facility. At her current state, she is unable to get out of bed on her own. At any other facility, she would be riddled with bed sores, but with the level of care she is given here, her skin is picture perfect. She is encouraged daily to participate in social activities which helps uplift her in so many ways. She is very happy and feels very loved by the staff who see to her. This gives us a great peace of mind to know that she is so well taken care of. I highly recommend this facility.

This facility needs to be closed immediately. Rehabilitation is non-existant. There is no "swing bed unit". patients of all diagnoses are mixed together a d meals are UNDESCRIBABLE. Dinner might be 2 pieces of white bread with an unknown white substance between. Hospital officials unable to determine the substance. Future plans to improve facilty are NOT in progress. To elevate a patients legs, one must resort to using the nearest garbage can. Patients all in bed. Nurses state PT occurs twice per day. nurses aide claims she has 15 patients under her care. Director trying her best to improve this facility..HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
