What ever you’re doing here, keep it up, my father is doing better here than he has in 3 months. He came from the hospital in a very bad condition and is now walking on his own.

My brother has really bad dementia. His own family couldn't deal with him. Apex rehab not only tolerated him but gave him better care then we ever could. That says alot about this place. I would go with Apex for the ones you care about.

Apex was recommended to me for my mother by a friend. The second i got there, to scope out the situation, i was warmly greeted and given aa tour of the rehab. All i saw were happy faces and encouraging smiles. Thats all i needed to see to know my mom was in good hands. Every time i go to visit my mom tells me how happy she is.

My Brother is a very cynical individual. He had not one bad word to say about Apex. He called me up gushing about the staff and care. He loves the food also. Coming from him that all the proof i need that apex is the way to go.

My sister was taken to Apex from the hospital on Friday 5/17/13 to get rehabilitation for a badly fractured ankle after 2 surgeries. Her first day there the Nurses Aid rammed her bad foot into the wall, blamed my sister for it saying that she tried to get up too soon & then rammed her foot into the wall a 2nd time. When I called to complain a supervisor Darry said he would check it out & got back to me. He did call me back but had been unable to speak to the aid but she would be spoken to. That night - even though she stated upon her arrival that she is "continent" an aid brought a 61 year old woman a diaper!! The following morning upon being helped into her bed she fell because the bed wasn't braked. She fell on the bed but her bad foot hit the floor!! I called & spoke to a supervisor Shannelle about both the diaper incident & also the fall & was told she would speak to my sister & call me back - she never spoke to my sister & never called me back!! That night they brought her a "pullup" to put on!!! It seems that patients are not safe & there is NO dignity of care!

Nurses do not listen to resident when they inform them that they gave them the wrong medications. Nurse told resident to shut up and just take the dam pills. Social work department needs to review resident rights! SW does not keep the resident or family informed about discharge plans

Quality of care at this facility is extremely poor. With the exception of some good nurses, staff and CNA's,direct patient care is not pro-active and many get by by doing minimal requirements. Residents seem frustrated and so are their family members. Shifts, particularly in the evening and on weekends are short staffed for a variety of reasons. This happens frequently and is more the rule than the exception. Conditions have not improved inspite of formal complaints. This nursing home from ownership to management on down is lacking an emotional investment in the care and happiness of their residents and it is visible and observable to those who spend time visiting in this facility.
