My mother has been a resident at Olde Knox Commons for almost 7 months and I am very happy with the facility, quality of care and the staff. The facility is always bright and clean and there is always someone available to help if I need them. There are activities for the residents every day to keep them busy. The staff are always very friendly and treat the residents with respect and care. At Olde Knox Commons my mom is happy and healthy and in a safe environment. I have peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.

We found Olde Knox Commons to be exactly what my mother needed at this time in her life: clean, attentive, kind, thoughtful, helpful, and respectful. We are grateful for the care they gave her.

My mother was recently discharged from the short term rehab unit. I have to say that the care that she received there was EXCELLENT! The nurses and the supervisor are very knowledgable about their jobs and medical care. I did not experience one employee that did not have the upmost respect for my mother and our family. Our quiestions were answered promptly and accurately. I would highly recommend this facility. It is one of a few that does not smell of urine and is always kept clean!! Kudos to all of you at OLDE KNOX COMMONS and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Let me start off by saying i wouldn't put my pet in this place! They dont provide enough staff and I just recently found out that while my mother was in there they had a treatment nurse working with an invalid nursing license. What kind of place lets an LPN NURSE(Not a CNA)dealind with patients lives work without a valid license?Doesn't the L in LPN stand for LICENSED?After speaking with the administrator you would think she belongs in an alzheimers unit and thats putting it nicely. Her and the owner must really know how to cover things up to keep this place open. The building looks very nice but when it comes to patient care they are terrible.Looks are very decieving. Please take your loved one somewhere else.

THIS FACILITY IS THE GREATEST!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this nursing home. We had short term rehab and decided to keep my loved one in this facility for long term. It is by far the CLEANEST facilty around. A beautiful facility and a beautiful, caring staff. They REALLY CARE about the patients. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY.

My mother spent about 3 weeks in this facility for rehab following her hospital stay. We found the facility to be bright, clean and inviting. The staff was exceptional in quality of care, communications with the family and professionalism. I would highly recommend this facility for a loved one.

Both of my parents are patients there, one recovering from a fall, and one from a stroke. The care that they have received has been excellent. The facility is spotlessly clean, and the staff has been helpful, informative, and cooperative. Thumbs up to Olde Knox Commons!

There are not enough cnas to help. I have witnessed residents having to wait at least 20-30 minutes for assistance from the staff which indicates there not enough staff. Bathrooms in the resident rooms are not cleaned thoroughly. I feel sorry for some f the residents there. There is one resident that who is given some type of soup and she is in the hallway all the time trying to feed herself from the cup and it's liquid is all over her clothes. It happens almost daily. Residents are called by their first name instead of Ms. or Mr. by a lot of the staff (no respect). Soiled towels have been left in the sink of resident rooms over night. Soiled underwear of the residents are also left in the resident bathrooms overnight. The night shift staff seems to be slack and needs to be brought up to par along with some of the second shift staff. The buiding is new but there are some issues with staffing, attending to resident needs and environmental services. Residents do lay wet in bed for periods of time. The state needs to be called in. They need better food. Fresh water is not given to residents once in their rooms.

I am getting my mother out of this understaffed, undercared for facility AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. They can't even put a catheter in correctly. The food is horrible - imagine giving fried food to elderly patients - just about every night. Fruit is unheard of! Sitting in a wet bet for 3 hours! I wouldn't put a dog in here!!!!!!!!

The staff, for the most part, were nice but overworked EXCEPT for the administrative area. They lie to you and definitely try to conceal a lot that goes on there. They do not keep the patients safe--bed alarms rarely work and if they do, response time to help is unreal.Poor old people crying for help all over the place. I got my mother out of there and brought her back home so she could be safe--and loved.Doctor never comes to see patients--changes meds and the changes make no sense. It looks nice but gets downright scary at night. They do not cater AT ALL to the family members. Terrible!! A nightmare. I wish I could really go on about it. It did not smell bad--that is the one positive thing I can say but THAT IS IT. Do not trust the administrative staff--if you love someone, get them out of there.
