My mother was transferred by ambulance 3 times between March 2013 & November 2013 for nothing more than an untreated urinary tract infection and dehydration. They would put a huge plastic jug filled with water with a lid on it on her night table to satisfy the state's requirement; but, would not give her fresh juice & milk I left each week for her. Dr Brasher (? spelling of name) thinks dimentia patients are not in pain...they just think they're in pain. What a nightmare. My mother's white cell count was 20,000 & sodium level was 163 when last checked in to the hospital. She threw-up 3 days before they admitted her the last time...they did not call me to let me know there were any issues until it was too late. They eventually refused to toilet her, she sat in her own feces for hours at a time. We burried my mother in December.
