my mother has alzheimers and has been overmedicated so she is easier to manage.the staff is always in a hurry so they rush her which causes her to be agitated and combative.this results in raising her medications.they don't spend the time to re-direct or use other strategies to manage her.it seems to be easier to medicate.my mother has gotten worse in the 6 months she has been there.
