This facility is owned by Genesis Healthcare. Though the nursing and CNA staff work very hard to take good care of patients there, the corporation is lousy. If they could feed patients mashed potatoes for breakfast they would. The menu is made up at the Pennsylvania headquarters. Mashed potatoes and carrots are their main stay. Anything that is cheap. In two years I have never seen a tomato on a plate there. They are ALWAYS understaffed. The manager is a good man, but the corporation keeps him from providing the care patients deserve. Each patient in a double room gets an 8'x10' space for bed, feeding tray, chair, and nightstand. The staff can hardly use the lifts since there is not enough space to turn around. The closet is 22 1/2" x 23 1/4". Not nearly big enough to keep clothes for a long stay. You have to constantly remind the kitchen staff and some younger CNAs to do their job. The understaffed crew can't check on people enough. Genesis is like that everywhere!!
