I don't believe you need me to be more specific. What does VERY POOR in all categories tell you? I means your place needs to be shut down, until you get it right. If you don't clean up your act soon, there will be trouble.

death at douglas care center

death at douglas care center
Details:

My 43 year old brother was paralized in an off road vehicle accident in july of last yr. Do to the fact that his medicare or medicade would only cover so much costs he went from a wonderfull rehab facility called elkhorn with very trained nurses and therapist and great progress to a 1 star whole in the wall with several wide ranging complaints. He didn't not receive proper care at douglas care center because they were not equiped or trained to take care of C-6 injuries, the management knew this but accepted my brother any way... He was constantly degrated, mentally abused and injured everytime his nurses would try and move him from his bed to his PVC thats right just like the kind of pipe under your kitchen sink..My brother kept a daily journal of all the mistreatment of not only him but others in the facility. They need to be investigated for tampering with there patient charts as well as numerous other things. They crushed my brothers spirit.. The NHA there gave him a letter dated jan 25th 2011 stating stating as of today januray 25th my brothers name we are giving you a thirty day notice effective february 23 2011 as we are "no longer able to provide the care you need to achieve your long term goals. signed by the NHA... They knew they couldnt't provide the proper care that he needed to achieve his long term gosl before he got there.. People and nurses from an earlier rehab facility that he was at have contacted me and told me to seriously look into his death and told me to look through is daily journal on his laptop, when i did certain files were convieniantly deleted. i have the capability to retrieve those deleted files and will. sincerely, crushed in CO
