Omart is a joke. It is nothing but one long AA meeting. You see volunteers more that the staff. I would say that in my 42 days I spent about 2 total hours with my councelor. The director never comes out of her office unless it is to yell at someone. She brutally yelled at a young girl because there were holes in the wall of her room. Those holes had been there forever. Duct tape is the way Omart fixes these holes. They are so strict when it comes to fraternization among the patients. Yet the director is married to a former patient. This guy has a key to everything in the facility but does not seem to have a title or official job. He fills the coke machine with products that he buys. Why is this not delivered by a vendor. Looked like a little private enterprise to me. They also said they would follow up with me after rehab. They have not. During classes there were at least four toddlers running around the room most of the time. These kids come up to you for attention and get attached to you. Yet if you are a male and caught holding one of them you will be written up. All because they are to cheap to pay someone to watch these precious children. All of the councilors are on different pages as far as what is proper treatment. The patients that are treated best are the ones who have been there the most times. The know the ropes and pretty much run the place. There is no organized recreation. Sometimes not enough food, yet the directors husband plate is always full. The daily schedule is never stuck to. In a full day you may spend a total of about 2 hours in class with certified counselors, and many times they just throw in a video and leave the room. The other times you are in class with an AA volunteer. On saturday's you are forced to watch a movie and write a report on it. The movie has nothing to do with treatment and is usually an animated childrens flick. The one thing that they do keep up to date on is money. That is pretty much what they are about.

most of the staff was very good but my sons counselor was rude to me and the clients, not compassionate at all, they threw my son out on hearsay, along with six other people this week, if you would talk to the staff they know what is going on but are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs, something must be done about this counselors abuse and i am sure you can find others who will testify as to how abusive he is. please, please do something about this man, my son was there voluntarily, not court ordered, and he really wants help. luckily this experience has not set him back and he is looking for another rehab but i am sure that others thrown out unjustly have suffered over being kicked out. MY SON was badgered to admit he left the premises and get a write up. when he said he would not admit something he didn't do the counselor said we can look at the surviellance tapes and my son said fine, let's do that. they kicked him out instead and when i asked for proof on the tapes the counselor was rude and refused to show me any proof saying' i don't have to show you proof". i said no you son't have to but a commpassionate counselor would do this for an upset mother.he continued to be rude and overbearing. my son is in a custody case and our lawyer will hear about my sons treatment at this facility.

This place saved my life. They gave me the tools i need to stay sober. Now I use these tools in my every day life. There are clients who were there when I was that were court ordered that made a joke of treatment.I see that they are back in jail and prison.Yes Omart has rules that may seem petty but if we cant follow rules there we sure cant follow rules on the streets.this place was truely a God send.

I strongly feel that this place helped me let alone anyone else. They took a womans child from her because she smoked a cigarette! They kept me there 111 days when I was suppose to do just 90. The state pays for the court ordered women and so they hold them longer than necessary for more funding for that patient. $ $ $ $ $ $ $ is all OMART is about.
