It is totally impossible to get a human on the phone or once you do you are switched over and get a voice mail. It took 4 days for someone to return 1 of the many calls I placed. I was actually going to call 911 to see if everything was ok there because noone answered any of the phone #'s that I dialed- oops yes the financial office answered but of course! I would have rated them all negative but your system would not allow me to. My son came out worse than when he went in. There were drug dealers/alcohol right outside the sober houses! House managers were unprofessional. His counselor has yet to call me back and its been 2 weeks. Thanks for nothing!

I did not use the detox facility, but i was in the program for 6 weeks. The staff is great and did help out a lot. There are one or two i didn't care for but overall good there. The aprn that i saw put me on a ton of meds some i needed others not so much.( you can refuse meds)The "off campus housing", o brother! Where do i start! A few are normal but some house up to twenty people and are falling apart! Many are located right in the center of "drug central" in New London. I know of MANY people that got high all the time. ( please note since i left rules have changed and they have a no tolerance policy, yet the houses remain) Look thing is, they have a good program. Its a 12 step program and It works if you work it. But the part where they say "dual diagnosis" in my opinion BS! They don't offer individual therapy. Your therapy is in a small group, which can sometimes be with 12 other people or more depending. So all the deep down of why your an addict might not surface and you need to do that on your own after. They will help you learn how to stay clean, but YOU have to want it! I wouldn't recommend stonington to some that can find help elsewhere. But if you need help NOW and can't get In elsewhere call them they have an "open door policy" and will get you in quick. Just be prepared for classes 6 days a week, meetings (NA,AA or in-house) and a frat house like living environment.
