This is a program that also works on your living skills by being self sufficient . You cook your own meal, shop and responsible to be on time. You are taken to a meeting off site everyday and must get a sponsor in AA or NA while here. You are able to get a pass and be picked up by your sponsor to go to meetings. I would recommend this place.

Stay as far away from this place as possible. They lure you in with your insurance and once they get the insurance money, they throw you away. Horrible - do not recommend to anyone. Stay away.

It's been many years since my stay at Transitions, but I haven't forgotten what a blatant scam it was. I was told that they handled dual diagnoses, but there were no psychologists available to the clients. All the counselors were qualified by their own histories of poor life choices and, possibly, some kind of certificate. I am sort of shocked that Transitions is still in business. I guess a lifetime of hustling for drugs does provide enough experience to run a rehab. You just have to be a able to talk people out of their money, and the Transitions staff has that part nailed.

This facility gave me the tools I needed to learn how to live a clean and sober lifestyle. I struggled with staying sober for years and once I went to Transitions, I have had continuous sobriety for three years now. Transitions offers not only a staff that cares, groups that get to the issues that need to be dealt with, but also a solution. Transitions taught me how to have a support group. Transitions taught me the importance of having a sponsor, working steps, talking about my issues, and how to work a solid program in a 12 step fellowship. Transitions provided me with the support and coping skills that helped me save my life. I still have a tight relationship with the staff there and I am welcome to aftercare as well as any group if I am in need of help or if I just want to pop in and say hello. The staff is equipped with the experience and knowledge to help change lives. I can say this from first-hand experience. I have worked at other treatment centers. They do not compare to Transitions. I have been to other facilities as an in-patient. They do not compare to Transitions. Transitions provided me with the support I needed as a dual diagnosis in-patient with bipolar disorder as well as addiction. I am able to live like I never have before. Transitions provided me with the tools and coping skills to begin that journey.

I've been to treatment centers before I went through transitions and none of the other places compared to the treatment I received here. Transitions' staff gave me an opportunity to get real with myself. They didn't bullshit me. For a treatment for alcohol and drug abuse, the premises and location was really nice and convenient. It was comfortable and I was able to be myself there. My insurance covered the whole process too. They also have family groups on the weekend which was so helpful for me because some of my family members don't understand having an addiction so it was really insightful for me to see the process of rebuilding relationships with other clients and their family members. Transitions gave me the opportunity to build a new life for myself. When I was willing to get better, the counselors and other staff members were there to guide me and offer their support. I highly recommend this treatment center.

I was in this hell hole for 5 weeks. For many $$$$ a day I got nothing. The whole atmosphere of this place is always tense and it’s VERY unprofessional. I was without one prescription medication for 10 days. The group meetings held by the staff are chaotic and there is very little one on one counseling. For the most part, the counselors are arrogant, rude and just creepy. The counselors seem to make up the rules as they go along and always have an excuse for their dysfunction. They provide a printed weekly schedule of activities that is inaccurate. The course of “treatment” and a person’s privileges vary depending on which counselor you happen to get assigned to. There is no consistency and a lot of yelling. I was grossly misled about this place by their “salesperson” before I got there. The facility where you go everyday for ”treatment” is a bus ride away from the dump you actually live at . The main meeting room where you are most of the time is depressing and freezing with uncomfortable chairs. You waste many hours a day riding on their shuttle buses. They bus you to the facility in the am, back to apt for lunch, back to facility after, bus to outside meeting, bus back, bus home for dinner, bus back, bus back to facility, bus to outside meeting, bus home….ridiculous!!!! They give you grocery cards for $60 a week and take you to the grocery but the daily schedule is too crammed and always disorganized there is never time to cook yourself anything decent. I lived on peanut butter and jelly and microwave dinners for the duration and lost 10 pounds that I didn’t need to lose. There is also not enough time to rest or sleep and the beds were atrocious. I was dead tired and hungry the entire time. I would recommend a deserted island with enough food and water for a month over this mess.

If you want to be ripped off and your insurance raped, come they'll babysit you in groups that have no point, you'll sit next to people who come over and over and your counselors will have at best a highschool education. They will tell u to leave your 6 figure job and move into the 3/4 way house THEY OWN or get a cut from, oh and they will make a $$recomendation to your insurance co. that u stay another 60 to 90 days, but if your in$urance only pays 30 days then WOW your cured! you'll stay in a shitty apartment errr a nice asbestos laced flat with NO basic cable to be your friend. your no where close to the beach so dont believe the B$hit! the be$t counselor they have is an ex con who actually has a true care for the addicts. Other than that take a cruise for the $10, $20K Bill! dont waste your time !
