I have been a patient at this facility for 6 years. I am at the highest level of treatment, meaning I only visit every 2 weeks. I STRONGLY suggest not getting started on methadone tx. Unless maybe u seek outside counseling. The staff here treats everyone the same, not as individuals. I have followed every in center rule to a T, always passed drug screens, for 6 years, yet I feel scrutinized the same as the dope smokers, pill poppers that visit clinic daily because they don't care, they don't hold a steady job, they ruin it for people like me. This treatment is just replacing one drug with another. Seek help elsewhere!!

Quick to get someone addicted at 7 x's the prescription drug! Didn't take vitals or take blood pressure that was way thru the roof that before methadone was fine. Doses were wrong and quickly say well the machines are calibrated every day!!! However those doses for 7 days were way off from each other! Took them back in and they were surprised they were that much off!! So go get over dosed, addicted to something fifty times worse than anything else... This should not be for anyone not addicted to heroine because the average person doesn't know or research the drug- obviously or they wouldn't be addicted in the first place. All the lawyers and doctors going in for a wkly dose from Marion is ridiculous!!! Then drive right out fucked up on methadone. Just a legal drug seller. Get out while you can actually go get real help! Don't put yourself on a drug you cannot stop. Would an alcoholic go get a daily dose of alcohol if they wanted to stop???the answer is no, u can't keep putting more drugs in to get clean. You are not clean if you are on methadone. Ever.

In my first week receiving treatment here, I've seen a mixture of the very good and the very bad. My counselor, "L", is a very nice lady--very empathetic, and seems genuinely concerned with helping me get clean. She was actually initially hesitant to recommend I be put on methadone given my past history of being able to get clean without it. To me, this shows that they aren't just in it for the money. Also, the nurse who gave me my "COWS" assessment was very nice and knowledgeable. However, IMO, where this place fails disastrously is in the "doctor department". The "physician" who evaluated me, "Dr. R", was entirely unprofessional. His general demeanor suggests that he suffers from some form of autism. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing--many autistic folks make excellent doctors if they are passionate about their work. But I would be seriously surprised if this guy could pass an undergraduate exam on addiction or pharmacology cold. Also, he actually YELLED at another Dr or nurse about having to work after hours while I was being examined! I mean, seriously, try to picture this: I'm in this guy's office, and he's actually whining about having to be there! Oh well, in any case, if I end up getting clean, I suppose I will leave with an overall favorable opinion of this clinic.

I know that a lot of people seem to think that this facility is lacking in a number of ways, but the truth is without it Im now sure where I would be today.

I spend almost 700 dollars a month there(my wife and I) and we are both treated very poorly. I know if I spent that much at any other Doctors office I would be treated very good and I feel they treat us like this cause why we are there. The rules don't apply to everyone it seems like they make some rules on a person to person basis.

The facility itself is pretty clean. However, some of the patients that are being treated here; really need to practice better grooming skills. I understand that some folks are poor, and cannot afford new clothes, but there is no excuse for not taking a shower. So, its no mystery why the cops hang out all over the surrounding neighborhood, waiting to pull people over who have just left the clinic. Most of the staff are decent people who have a job to do. But; on Sat and Sun the place is not efficient at all. This is because the hours of operation. Its only open for a few hrs on these days; so the facility gets overcrowded in a hurry. And , of course you have those folks who dont shower, and the noise level gets intolerable. DO NOT take your kids with you, unless you want to expose them to some real seedy conversations. If you need help gettin off opiates; then this is your place to go. But dont expect to be treated like a "patient". Expect to be treated like a number. And... whatever you do; DO NOT expect to get any sort of financial assistance from this place. They will NOT work with you in any way. Be sure that you can afford the daily dosing fee, cuz they will flat out deny you unless you have the cash. To sum it all up: the place is very un-friendly from a patient stand-point. But it all boils down to.... a person wouldnt have to seek treatment, if they wouldnt have abused drugs in the first place. And believe me; this is exactly how you will be treated.

This place saved my life, seriously. If you follow all the rules, (of which there are many) I guarantee your life will go back to normal. The reason people commit crimes when addicted to opiates is not an insane desire to get high. When you withdrawl from opiates you experience symptoms as though it were the worst stomach flu you ever had, and it doesn't go away for weeks or months. Anyone with such a flu would get pretty desperate for a cure if they knew one was out there. Methadone stops the withdrawl without making you high. All you neigh sayers are either idiots who are pissed off at the clinic for imposed sanctions as a result of breaking their rules, or conservative bible thumpers who have no business commenting on what you do not understand. And the first thing they do is check for benzodiazapam drugs, so little mr. xanax would never have been given enough to o. d. on until he tested clean. They, benzos, stay in your system for 3 weeks. So your idiot overdosed son, if he ever existed at all, did not get his drugs here. Check your own medicine cabnet. Crime would plummet and productivity take it's place if there were more access to this wonderful program.

My son died on 8-10-10 from a Methadone and Xanax overdose. He did not have any insurance; therefore, could not get appropriate help at an inpt setting. I strongly urge anyone using a Methadone clinic to stop before it's too late. My attorney will be contacting this facility.

Details:

We did not know about Premier Care in Marion, so my grandson started rehab treatment Tues at Indiana Treatment Center in Indpls for heroin addiction. He lives in Orestes IN so it would be much closer to come to Marion. What is the transfer process, or can he make an appointment for starting treatments in Marion. Thank You for any information.

Nasty Place!

Nasty Place!
Details:

What a disgusting entity in itself when someone wants off prescription drugs and you hand them methadone knowing full well how addicting and worse the shit is! You should be referring them to actual rehab places that might save a life!
