The only reason they get 1 star because there is no option for 0 stars. The staff was rude, someone tried to sell crack to my son within the hour of being there, he over slept the first morning so the locked him in his room, he was told by the counselor that his parents wanted nothing to do with him (false statement), filthy place with bed bugs being found everywhere, he asked to call us or the counselor to call us to pick him up which they denied to do so. He asked for a ride home, denied that also but yet when they kicked the person out for selling drugs he was giving a ride to the local Wal-Mart imagine that, he was told if he wanted to leave to have at it there's the door, as he walked down the driveway to leave there were numerous needles on the ground so a filthy grounds, we were told a car was sent for him to pick him up plain out lie there's two ways out straight or turn right no car came, it took him 4 1/2 hours to walk home which was 11 miles away mostly in the dark with a 45 degree night with the wind blowing so a wind chill of 36 degrees when he finally arrived home he was froze to death. Don't send anyone you care about to this facility it is demoralizing and could care less about the patients care.

Just as the rest have said, this facility is horrible. Extremely outdated, smelly, they don't know what upkeep and remodeling is. If you're in withdrawal prepare for hell, they lock out the rooms for the vast majority of the day and you might get permission to sleep on a nasty tiny vinyl sofa with holes in it in the hallway where everybody sees you.. o you can even get a throw up bucket in that deal :) I was clean when I went it so I was thankful for that. Same daily schedule day to day, these so called classes are a waste of time, they don't even spend a minute to discuss your personal case. The place is really rough. Ex-addicts can work there with only one year clean which is not enough. I've been clean for a year and not really in the position to teach others the path. Nobody you deal with has a college degree, if you have completed BS/BA and accustomed to deal with people of similar sort.. prepare to be dumbed down.. way down by gold teeth life long crack addicts clean for a few years. I've made several contacts when I stayed there for 10 days and all went back to using in less than a week.. most as soon as they got home. Lastly there are only four 1-person bathrooms for 95% of the day and horrible sanitation.. I have to hold my breath as I walked past them in the hall.. let alone think of using them. Bottom line is Warwick is all about making the cash, and nothing else. If you have such option, try Pathways in Annapolis. Facilites seem luxurious in comparison, much better staff/doctors, professional/private detox in a 28 day program. I got shut down when I applied because I was on suboxone at that point and lack of a few of my prescriptions so they could count them.. upon further research online it seems that they simply shut down those with private insurance when they are already pretty filled.. cash patients always get in. Now that I have got cleaned on my own, Warwick provided zero value, if you have other options for private facilities, please consider them first and do through review for each.

This facility has proven to show their interest is in keeping business. They collect their fees and put all the burden on the family to except the responsibilty of making the discharge plan. They even make threats of discharging to the street. We would have done just as well and saved thousands of dollars renting a hotel room and handcuffing the addict down for the days it took to detox.

I was at Warwick Manor in the year 2010 and unfortunately i fell off the wagon again. The thing in which people do NOT understand is that we as addicts did this to OURSELVES and people DO NOT AND MUST NOT JUMP THROUGH HOOPS BECAUSE WE ARE NOW READY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM WE CREATED.I LOVED WARWCIK MANOR and am preparing to go there TOMORROW GOD WILLING after my clinical and my telephone assessment.I PRAY I AM ABLE TO BE DETOXED OFF OF ALL MIND MOOD AND ALTERING CHEMICALS and that THIS TIME i put in twice the work and twice the effort while there and upon my discharge and release.I WOULD AND WILL RECOMMEND WARWICK MANIR TO ANYOME WHO IS WILLING AND READY TO LIVE A NEW WAY OF LIFE ,CLEAN AND SOBER, L.Christina Lee of Baltimore MD.

Worst Rehab center treatment you can get.The office staff lies about helping you with the detox program. Staff treats you with no respect. Never go here Staff was mean and non caring. Have you sign papers without family members present. Make you go through detox without help but do not tell you this before you sign up to go. Care is horrible and Facility smells and old. Overall do not waste time or Insurance money. Never felt so much disrespect. Thank God I am out of there and doing so much better doing it with a certifited doctor. Their main goal is disrespect and have no idea how to treat people. Bedrooms are locked Phones are locked, they make you throwup in front of everyone while going through shakes instead of the privicy of a room. The lies to get you in there is horrible. Thought they would help with withdraw like they promised, but no help at all. They did not say withdraw first then come here...they promised help with withdraw to make it easier..not the way this place works..they do not tell you this. Make sure next time you need help you get all the details.

My son was scheduled for treatment however when he got admitted he broke policy rules and was discharged. Not only did they collect for an overnight stay of $415.00(which never happened) they collected a miscellaneous charge of $135.00 all of which my insurance paid out and he never actually stayed there at all. He also had to pay a copay of $255.00 prior to his admission. I have fought for this to be returned to him for the last (2) months. His stay was from back in Aug 2011 and it is now Dec 2011. They have lied to me and told me it was sent out, returned and sent out a second time. Yes, indeed I verified the address with them also. He has yet to receive the refund due to him and I will contact the necessary parties to investigate their practices. Whatever scheme they have going on will prevail. They have previously been investigated and it appears they need to be looked at again. Please note the fields rated above had to be filled out to process my complaint. My son never was actually admitted.

Warwick Manor is worth checking into!! Most of the groups are led by "techs" and most do a pretty good job with a predetermined topic. Some classes are led by professionals. I was there for 21 days and learned a LOT!! I am still sober 10 months later and have no desire to "pick up"..One cool thing is 95% of the staff are ex-addicts!! They relate to you!! The only thing i did not like is the length of you stay is determined. It's ALL based on how long your insurance will pay. They will tell you it is not. I was ready to leave after 10-14 days, but HAD to stay 21. Others were there only 7 days, and i KNOW they needed longer. You have to comply with the stay on their terms or NO DEPLOMA!! and your insurance company (and maybe the courts) would not like that!! The overly abundant food is EXCELLENT!! Many professionals are at your service!! Mental health, doctors, etc. I was there the last part of 2010. I would recomend Warwick Manor!!

I worked at a De. detox center for 28 years before we were forced to close due to cost. I had my husband sent to Warwick Manor at East New Market for help after he had 10.5 years sobriety. The medical aspect of this place is horrible. He was to be in detox due to severe withdrawl. His medical history was a minor stroke and hypertension. No Librium protocal was used he shook for 5 days and was sick the whole stay there. He was also prone to siezures. The medical staff had him on one dilantin daily. This man was never seen by a doctor just a nurse practioner, who add another antidepressant that he should never have been put on according to our family doctor that he was taken to immediately after leaving Warwick. I have never been so disappointed in a facility in my entire life. They even ran out of meds for their heroin clients during his stay. His counselor had 5 years clean and dissed him during his whole stay and only saw him once. What kind of a place is this that takes the money from needy clients and never gives them the services they are to provide. I am notifing our insurance about this and encouraging them to not recommend Warwick Manor to any of our De. residents that need help. I feel so bad that our facility was closed. We were the best. We provided accupunture to aid in the clients withdrawl plus we medicated them as needed.Blood pressures were given constantly to be sure the people were not heading for crisis. This place needs to be investigated for misappropriation of funds and have better counselors other than former clients with clean time. Very Discouraged Rouena Konkiel

My son is to be admitted there on Monday. I would like real opinions (not the cutesy fluff shown on web sites) about the facility, its programs, employees. Want to hear from patients, family members, employees - anyone who has a personal opinion - good or bad - about Warwick Manor. Thanks so much.

my stay at warwick manor

my stay at warwick manor
Details:

I stayed at Warwick Manor for my recovery process. I loved the place. The staff was very helpful, honest and trust worthy. I was able to get the medical and mental health attention as well as recovery tools to assist me in my process. I loved the fact that it is located in the middle of nowhere with just the bay. Anyone who is serious about their recovery can get the treatment they need from this place. As long as you are serious about your recovery and you are NOT looking for a first class hotel to stay in to detox, this is the place. I recommend this place for anyone serious about their recovery. If I ever need to admit myself into a rehab again, I would go straight back to the Warwick Manor location. Thank you Warwick Manor

Details:

They are not trust worthy, my counselor lied to me several times. They will also try to increase your stay against your will in order to milk your insurance
