Additional note to previous message. There is no running water in the rooms. No cell phones allowed. No air conditioning. No TV, radio or DVD in room and limited, at best, during other times. You are made to clean the cummunal bathroom(?), do all your own dishes and cooking. Cooking is OK but why do we have to do dishes? Even the treatment center at Wayverly prepared all our meals and did all the kitchen work. What do you think paper plates are for? I don't mind doing things for my self, but for the whole house is absurd!! At Easthaven you had a seperate bedroom, living room with TV, radio, and stereo. Full kitchen and bathroom. Just like regular apartment living. West Hills is worse than jail!! And the meetings, meetings, meetings!!! Easthaven has 5-8 hours a week. This place had them every day of the week with many days having two or three. Also no access to leave the premises. You were not allowed to come and go as you please. You also could not have any form of your own transportation i.e. car, bike ,etc. Basically jail without the bars. Never in my life have I seen a place as bad as this. Rehab CAN NEVER be accomplished in these conditions. Please review accomodations at Easthaven in St. Cloud, Mn. You will be AMAZED!!!

This place is an old outdated orphanage which has no reason to be a place anyone wanting to get back into the mainstream after completion of treatment. It is sad that any councelor would want to send anyone here. Give me East Haven in St. Cloud ANYTIME!!! This place has only made my transition 10 times more difficult!! Minimal computer access, no help finding work in a small town, not on bus line, no way to even find a job even if they were available, rules, rules and more rules. No individual rights to help someone move forward. Meetings, meetings and meetings. Other locations have only two or three meetings a week and the rest are handled by yourself at local AA meetings. Not here!! Everthing is totally structured for you!! No way to advance your life after treatment. I wish I could have went to East Haven in St. Cloud, MN where the facility is new and opportunities abound for the needed transition. This place is only 10 steps backwards in a town with no jobs to be had. My counceler could have done 100% better than placement in this dump. I have no good thins to say about htis dump!!!

Felt the environment was that of a business. When patients from treatment centers needed beds at halfway houses. WHL was happy to, "kick," people out after they were paid simply to create vacancy.
