I believe they are not being truthful about all these servies they say they have. they do not. I came to the gables in nov.2011 i already had 9 months clean. my mind was set that i needed to change. out of 30 women there is only 2 of us that are sber. so what does that tell you about going there. everything is money to them. in fact they still owe me money for transportation. you had better have money for cab rides because they do not provide it. 30 women only 3 councelors. i recomend you go else where. there is no consistany always changing. I got out of there in april. not once have they called to see how were doin. i pretty much talk to these women because i do care. me and this other girl that have remained sober are going to let people know about this place. as of the 1st. please make other choices if you are serious abot being sober. i will have 2 yrs on feb. 14th. there are more of us than you think. have a safe sober holidays.

This is the worst place to ever send anyone you truly care about for recovery. The owner of the home treated the woman very rudely behind their backs and politely to their face. Staff came and went, there was little support if any on the grounds of getting help. Too many games going on here, this place is a business, NOT a place for healing and recovery. I woldn't send my worst enemy to this facility (if you can call it that) any further questions you can call me @ 763-631-7884 Amy Hartfiel

Don't let the beautiful home fool you. The care administered by the staff at the Gables is nothing short of abuse. Rather than treat your loved one's drug addiction in the method prescribed by Hazelden, they opt medicate their patients into submission. In the first three days of her stay, my loved one was diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses and prescribed 4 highest dose levels of different psychotropic medications. They are more concerned with filling beds and making money than they are with the Hippocratic Oath. Please, please, I advise you to look elsewhere. The young woman I dropped off that first day was a drugged, empty, pathetic shell of a human being the day I picked her up. It's taken years of continued care to recover from the "care" administered by this facility.
