The staff is extremely rude and do nothing to help patients with recovery. The receptionists are rude and disorganized. The intake "counselor" is so arrogant, and clearly thinks himself better than the patients. He is rude and angry. Follow all their rules, pay their fees, continuously pass all tests and remain clean, and he will treat you as if you are a liar and a cheat. He refuses to treat patients like human beings. The receptionists never have their facts straight, and be sure to keep receipts.. Their "counselors" are a joke., but yet this one man I spoke of earlier acts as if all other counselors are unqualified. I do like the doctor., but initially he treated me poorly as well, but I set him straight. I am currently seeking treatment elsewhere. My health is important to me, and clearly it is not important to these people.

This place is a joke i went there for a LADC evaluation and one of the first thing the counseler did (her first name was julie avoid thus woman at all costs) was threaten me with a prison sentence beacuse she asked me what i thought about the fact that i had to go to to counseling court ordered. i found this to be highly inappropriate from a patient perspective. my LADC eval was filled with half-truths and random speculation. it also cost me 275$ cash and they tried to say that i didnt pay, luckily i had saved the receipt and filed acopy with the Dept. of Correcttion trhe same day i recived treatment. also they will not accept any insurance for this service and the only payment method is physical cash. the whole thing seemed like a racket from the get go. i once went to a scheduled appointment and my counselor had gone home for the day. the previous visit she was 15 minuets late, while i has 10 minuets early. I was never given an opportunity to discuss the final report with the counselor, which i had been assured of before the report would be sent out to my probation officer. she also my probation officer that i was actively using drugs, which i never disclosed in any sessions. i bellive this was part of a plan to force me into futher mandatory treatment, as at minimum i was forced thru the eval. to attend 10 more sessions and follow all aftercare instructions. so when i called the farnum center to schedule these sessions, as i had all but given up on getting a fair shake, they informed me i would have to go thru another intake evaluation, in addition to everything i already did as well as pay an additional charge for thus before they could even begin to discuss scheduling further treatment. at this point i hung the phone called a different facilty and was easily able to schedule the 10 sessions i needed and, low and behold, they accepted my insurance, meaning what the farnum center had told me about no insurance covering this anywhere was patently false. in addition when i first showed there originally (at farnum) the first LADC i met told me she was the only one who did it and that she was busy so she'd reschedule me. the secretary than told me thus was false information and scheduled me with Julie who was honestly the worst mental health professional it has ever been my misfortune to meet. i would recommend you go to a church for help or anything else than go here. they are at best extremely disorganized, abrasive and intimidating, and horribly inefficient. however it may be that they don't care, try to extract as much money from you as humanly possible, and intentionly try to threaten people as a means of maintaing there racket

The doctor I had there, is no longer there and since then, it seems to be going downhill. This place should be absolutely ashamed and embarrassed; they have proven they DO NOT know how to run a business/facility such as this one. Disgraceful...Patients are going WITHOUT their meds, which in turn puts those patient's health, well-being, and sobriety at risk. A majority of the staff have an attitude problem and are pretty clueless or perhaps they are acting clueless so they don't have to deal with the plethora of patients that are currently going WITHOUT their medication. I rated the "Staff" section with one star because it's rating the "friendliness, KNOWLEDGEABILITY, and HELPFULNESS of the staff." All of those things are LACKING and they really need to get organized and professional. This place better get their act together because their reputation is suffering and is going down the tube. People are not going to want to get "help" from you people because of your currently substandard services. I am absolutely irate that I have spent/currently am spending, at this place. It's like throwing my money down the toilet. Get yourselves together, treat your patients (both medically and with respect), and learn how to run a business. If the Farnum Center has a money tree somewhere they're not telling their patients about, I'd sure love to know where it is because they seem to think money grows on trees for us patients. Get yourselves and your act together, DO YOUR JOB AND HELP US PATIENTS WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT; because think about who is contributing to your salary...
