(Details have not been substantiated)State insurance & Levingrin,NOT!
- Details:
I called Levingrin with regard to my daughter. She's suffered from PTSD for the last 4 years due to the suicide of her husband who decided to end his suffering with Bipolar disorder, leaving her with 2 young sons. Her father also committed suicide when she was 6y/o. In the 4 years since his death, she's become an alcoholic trying to numb herself from what I believe are abandonment issue' & as a mother, it's been difficult to watch her decline. I now have her living with me because she's unable to manage her life, plus her health is repidly deteriorating. I've helped her aquired state insurance & of course, want her to go to a facility with good ratings,,Levingrin, from my long hours of research, appears to be one of the top facilities.According to many referral websites,Levingrin does accept Medicaid, however, when calling their admissions dept to inquire I got a blunt,NO! Caron, another high-rated facility is another private pay, private insurance,,, that BTW,costs about $32,000.mo according to thier admissions dept. Now,please tell me,how does an addicted and/or dual diag individual who gets to a place where they need detox & long/short term rehab,as these facilities provide, manage to pay for this, let alone hold down a job? And,where do these facilities get off stating they are "NOT FOR PROFIT" and brag that a financial institution donated millions to build them another facility?!?!Of course they're for profit,it's not about helping humankind,it's about money..... So, I give Levingrin & the like's of them a ZERO rating on morality, spirituality & compassion. Signed, A Mom.
