What an incredible place to find recovery and get better! Located in an old estate on the Indian River, 12 Palms Recovery Center is just beautiful! Lots of good qualified staff and lots of peace and serenity in the grounds itself. It is not like an institution type setting. They have excursions to the beach, deep sea fishing and surfing! Can you believe that they actually take you surfing if you wish. A really nice blend of men and woman who were happy for the most part to be there. I spoke to several clients there who were going through the program and one guy had only 10 days left of 60. He said he felt better than ever and felt the place as he put it "saved his life" He seemed to me to be ready to go out and live sober and free of addiction. He knew all about the 12 steps and the importance of going to AA. What more could someone ask for when they have a family member or a friend dying from addiction. Get Them To Treatment! Get them to 12 Palms Recovery Center! Treatment Works! 12 Palms is affordable and has the experience to help even the most hard core addicts. Who wouldn't want to go to South Florida to relax and heal and get sober? I highly recommend Mr Winn and his staff. I couldn't ask for a more compassionate place to go. The counselor and his assistant were very kind. I feel I am on a stable path to recovery with the informative and productive group sessions. I felt understood and cared about. I would recommend to anyone seeking outpatient care.

Administrator and Director of Nursing are rude and unprofessional. Nurses were poorly trained.

This place is in need of some counselors who aren't going to relapse, like the ones in Towanda. They want to tell people about the repricussions of drugs??? Haha. What a joke!

Care was compassionate,caring,and they were flexable with thier scheduling to suite our families needs.

A-1 provided excellent service for my mother and personally helped me understand and obtain the best level of care for her. Their personal service has been extremely help especially since I live in another state.

Was a deaf patient, enrolled and set up an interperter in a week's advance, Anne Larsen never got me interperter in, and when class started she said to me " you don't need an interpeter, we will talk loud and slowly to you " Missed 6 weeks of lectures and Group thanks to Anne Larsen's "nonexistant concern", it appears she cares more about slapping fees and fines that she keeps forgetting to mark down in her damn book,tryin to accuse me of being absent for a day i clearly remember loathing class cuz i could had been at an bbq. I hope her annoyin dog thats in the class room bothering everyone during group enjoys poopin on all the damn receipts Anne Drops under her desk. Maybe you need some glasses Anne. DO NOT GO TO A-1 Soulutions in everett or you will suffer like i did P.S. The judge dropped the case on me after i told him about this :)...Someone needs to take this old Cocakoo out of the pigeon pen I am very very serious.

I have never been to a facility that was more unprofessional. All I needed was a D&A assessment. Not only did they take weeks to complete the assement. I had to call them MANY times prompting them to call the collateral wittnesses. My urinallis came back clean and my assesment was very low, however since I made the director mad by calling her unprofessional she decided to add a 1 day informational class to my assessment which of course they provide and charge for. I am in a custody battle and this was crutial to my case. Making the director/owner of this agency angery will hurt the outcome of your assessment. Use with extreme caution!

Omnicure Home Health, although a small startup agency but provided very good care for my mom. Most of the time their skilled nurses and physical therapists showed up on time. They were very courteous and sincere. My mom was very happy.

The people at this agency are so nice and caring. I am glad I switched.

Considering NO ONE would help me help my mother out of our car(she could not walk) and into the hospital in what was an emergency, which I later had to do myself by going back in and asking for a wheelchair, I am rather upset with the front office staff. The nurses working in the back where the patients rooms are are wonderful people, but the receptionist is what really got to me. I asked for something simple, help in getting my mother into the waiting room, and instead was left to do it myself, panicking, of course, in what was an emergency situation. It took approximately an hour before my mother was called in and roomed, and more than an hour later after that we were finally seen by a doctor.

There was only 1 CNA to change and dress my dad , he fell and broke bones in his spine and died . the 1st wk he had bloody mouth because they did not swab it like the previous hospital did . This home still had 4 star rating on Med.gov . Why ??

I can't believe the state of Missouri has allowed this facility to remain open! Horrific!!!

Medicare has closed their doors due to bad inspections, service, and terrible service.

NOTE: I filled in the above blanks because the form forced me to. After one visit, we decided NOT to use this facility. First impression: the "front" door -- which is around the back -- has seven steps to reach the door! (The other entrance, at ground level, is difficult to find). Second, we were shown around by an uninterested/bored RN who was curt and seemed reluctant to spend more than about 10 minutes with us. Finally -- the clincher -- the smell of stale urine overwhelmed us when we got off the elevator at the patient floor. Worse than the smell of a bus-station men's room. In addition, we visited after dinner and the halls were filled with drowsy (drugged??) patients who showed no spark -- though all seemed clean and well cared-for. Questions: rdanca@gmail.com

Aberjona was the worst mistake my family ever made. The rooms are dated, the quality care was horrible. Patients left in urine soaked bed for hours on end, food gross, aides not in tune to pt needs and rather abusive, therapist spent more time talking than working. Beds never changed. Diabetic patient woke up in the middle of night to be given ice cream clear case elder abuse. Found family memeber crying everyday on my visit. This the worst facility I have ever been too. Do yourself and your family a favor seek medical care elsewhere. Family member put in with roomates when she was to be isolated brought to their attention but they just ignored my concerns.

Very unhappy with the treatment of my family member, fell with fractures and was being assisted with a CNA who was chatting and not paying attention to what she was doing. The incident was reported until 24 hours later

I am an 87 year old female who is veary pleazed with this place og business.

It's unfortunate that our elders are put in such a facility were some of the workers do not care. The state should supervise this facility on a regular basis. This nursing home needs major changes not only to the appearance of the building but it also needs a shake down with the employees. Some are rude and can careless.

Staff was horrible. All overweight smokers. Complained to the administrator, who was very rude, and got nowhere. Would not recommend!!

The staff had the wrong reason for my father being admitted in his file, did not feed him or give him water for three days and the doctors could not be bothered to speak to me or my mother about my father.

Grossly Understaffed with nurses. No one available to get patients out of bed/bed pan/excessive use of catheder because of this. Total lack of care of patients not due to poor nursing but due to poor scheduling or Lack of Nurses. Dr's unwilling to give information about patient. Arrogance by most doctors and uncaring attitude about their patients.

THEY HAVE NO BLACK PATIENTS, AND THEY HAVE NO BLack EMPLOYEES, MY SON was employed there 3 years (african american) He was treated very unfair,(first rehab net) their rehab department.

very disorganized agency. Do and say the right things but no follow through. Sometimes inappropriate responses to patient concerns. In and out type agency. Unprofessional at best.

I'm not the easiest person to work with! But my nurses come every time they are supposed to, and always treat me with respect. So do the people who answer the phones at the office. I told my friends to use Able if they can.

all they care about is their money, they only care about staff performance when thing heat-up. they treat their staff with disrespect, management is very rude.

They go the extra mile to help via referrals and phone calls. Drug/alcohol counselor visits the schools and gets involved in the educational process to help juveniles.

They promptly did my evaluation and I am still in groups there. This is the first treatment agency Ive been to that cares about the patient more than the money.

This place is a nightmare. Mistakes, rudeness, no organization, zero contact are all the norm at this care facility. They lie about treatment, a doctor is hardly ever available, the doctor will change treatment plans without consulting patient or family members. Don't have a problem on the weekend or no one will be available (as if anyone is around when you need them during the week). Into the office late, out early for all employees. Employees lie for one another when you try to get answers. CNAs for the most part are wonderful, but of course can do little to help with problems. Room was generally dirty and messy, my loved one was not showered frequently (when we askes the facility why, they said that patients get a shower once per week). Always someone available when you don't need them (individuals at front desk who never move), until you have a problem or question. Then you are told so and so (doctor, head nurse, social worker) went home for the day (at noon on a weekday). Doctor will not see patients when requested. If you question this, employees never say anything nice about his behavior. Aurora Park deserves the awful reputation it used to have and hopefully will again.

The Watershed is just awful! They lie to get you there. They have no compassion for families back home. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life, HONESTLY! My husband now faces losing his job based on information the watershed provided them! He went willingly into this program! Please research other treatment centers!

Everything that is written about this place is true and it took me a total of 5 minutes and one conversation with a staff member to realize it. First of all, this place is in the hood and the clientele is representative of this. It smells, looks and feels institutional. They specialize in GBLT and it shows, it's a very uncomfortable environment and I believe probation officers send people here as a joke to get back at clients they don't like. They charge $35 dollars a group, unreasonably high. I did my intake with a crusty old Negro named Jerry. He seemed nice enough during our intake though he was old and I question how sharp his mind is, ( more on this later ). After completing my intake on June 26th, I asked Jerry if I would be able to know how many of my previous hours would transfer. My first class wasn't for two more weeks at this point. Jerry offered to call or mail me the information regarding my hours after he spoke to the Director, Bob, ( more on him later ). On July 18th I show up early for my first class as I had been told by the receptionist to come in to talk to Jerry about my hours transferring. When Jerry finally took me back to his office, ( 30 minutes after I arrived ), he asked me what my name was and what I wanted. I reminded him of our conversation and he, obviously having forgotten what he said he would do, answered with : " I really hate it when people tell me what I told them I was going to do." He became upset. I apologized for aggravating him, told him I that I " just wanted to know where I stood before I started." Jerry's response to this was, laughingly, " You'll start or you will go to jail." At this point I was on the verge of tears, walked back to the receptionist and politely asked for my money back and left. I then called the Director, Bob, and explained what happened. Of course, Bob Schneider did not return my very professional call but instead told my probation officer that I had been discharged for being " aggressive" and they wouldn't re-enroll me. STRAIGHT OUT LIE. I talked to ONE person for the 5 minutes I was there and was verbally abused by him. I have never seen Bob or interacted with any other staff member at Acacia besides the one that verbally abused me. I don't know what would make Bob lie to an agent of the court, but it will come out in court if my probation is revoked. It's a simple case of an agency and it's " therapists " treating a client wrong and then playing CYA because they know that probation officers will ALWAYS take what they say as 100% true. They don't like being challenged, even when the " challenge " is a simple question that's answer was promised to you. I decided to leave because the way I was treated and now they are trying to flip it by " discharging " me ( even though I never attended one group ). This place is awful, they lie, are overpriced and I felt for my safety while there.

My son is finishing 34 days at AAC and I VERY highly recommend this center! This place is AWESOME!!! The staff, the counselors and administration are knowledgeable, caring, supportive, intuitive...I could go on and on. Family therapy week was educational and really productive and healing. Sunday visits are allowed after very informative teaching sessions by the counselors. And they focus on not only getting your loved one better spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally healthy but have a written, well-thought out plan for aftercare. Don't give this place a second thought! Send your loved one here!
