ALthought Hackensack Medical Center is for the most part outstanding, the Johnson Hall Dialysis Center is an absolute disgrace. Never mind the fact that patients wait up to an hour and a half on bad days and 45 minutes on good days for treatment, the machines are often times not cleaned and in fact have had blood and betadyne stains on them. The nurses spend most of their time shooting the breeze while the techs run around doing the grunt work.Soe of the nurses aren't educated enough to provide basic medical attention when needed. Their lack of security when it comes to patient privacy and HIPPA violations are frightening. A dialysis nurse violated HIPPA regulations by breaking into a dialysis patients medical files not associtated with dialysis treatment and was given a slap on the wrist. So much for Hackensack's standard of excellence and zero tolerance for such things.

I dialyze there and the staff is excellent, they're very clean and efficient. You see a doctor wo comes to the clinic on every shift three times a week. They provide juice, crackers, ice and sheets to cover the chairs. You are treated like family there, I cannot recommend them enough.
