Woodridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Discussion by Anonymous

Woodridge Nursing & Rehabilitation
Details:

These are horrible comments, I understand that when a family member is facing the inevitable loss of a loved one reaching for answers and blaming are part of the greiving experience, I have witnessed people that have been in poor condition, not walking, or talking, leave that facility and go home to continue a quality of life far better then it was upon entering the facility, if you review on the official state site, you will see that all surveys that the facility has had, within the past year,( since a new administrative team began,) has had a positive outcomes.

Woods at Parkside Discussion by Anonymous

Woods at Parkside
Details:

I was a patient tgere in Oct 2013.Every horrible thing that has been cited and mentioned are all 100percent true. The conselors are a joke. They are mean, rude and try to intimidate the patients. The facilities are a joke. Run down stained carpets, beds are horrid. Can't sleep at all. The food was GROSS!And yes they will keep you there as long as your insurabce will pay. Some people were there over 20 days. Funny, when I went to a place up near Toledo they only kept you there 3-4 days. Stay away from yhe woods at parkside.Spend your money at a real place.

Wuesthoff Progressive Care Discussion by Anonymous

Wuesthoff Progressive Care
Details:

I am told skilled nursing facilities that accept Medicare reimbursement are responsible for taking care of the patient's needs, including, but not limited to, arranging and paying for transportation to and from dialysis. Is this the policy under Medicare guidelines?

Wyant Woods Care Center Discussion by Anonymous

Wyant Woods Care Center
Details:

Unhelpful, inconsiderate, to some extent. Patient was released to external care. Upon final release, facility provided listing of medicines and provided some medicines to go. New indep caregiver was provided with only minimal info on application of medicines. Later, controlled substance narcotic found missing! Panicking, new caregiver called to ask about narcotic. Nurse/staff checked records and then informed new caregiver that vital narcotic was NOT INCLUDED for patient, because facility was completely 'out' of stock and had not ordered any, not even a few days' worth. Facility also neglected to coordinate with visiting MD to provide written prescription. That was patient's only MD. Staff "not sure" name of MD. All this represents an overall failure to coordinate meds/outcome for patient well-being, this within context of decisions on scheduling/release that were made by facility management. This lapse caused patient to suffer severe pain and necessitated a visit to hospital Emergency room the following day, for lack of thoughtful consideration.

One week of this med arguably should have been provided to patient free, since Medicare was charged one extra week of care, while patient was residing, eating, sleeping at new location, pending official release date. Certain matters such as these may be bound by 'rules', however no good excuse to cause partially-disabled patient to endure unnecessary pain and suffering.

Yolo County Discussion by Anonymous

Yolo County
Details:

My x and dear friend of 24 years, and father to our 29 year old daughter had an addiction to meth and other substances including alcohol when I first met him 24 years ago. Like his parent even said when we got together, they felt I had saved his life!!! 15 years later our daughter Marie left home after graduating high school, that was hard. Our daughter was our main focus. Running her here and there to practice and then attending all her basketball games, her track and field, TO NO MORE DAUGHTER TO RUN AROUND OR GO TO GAMES, OR HELP WITH HOMEWORK!! We both were a little lost, so he started playing cards more at the casinos and drinking his beer again, and I started going on the internet and then LONG ASS STORY CUT REAL SHORT, I ended up meeting a guy and talking to him as my hubby wasn't around ever, and then caught his second DUI. So then after MANY YEARS of being so in love, best friends, the most perfect life I UP AND LEFT HIM FOR THIS OTHER MAN THINKING THE GRASS WAS GREENER, WHAT AN IDIOT!!!, then our dog died which was like a child for him and I, then his DAD died, then he lost our home we bought in 1993 together and watched our daughter grow up, graduate high school and get married at. WHEN HE LOST HOME IN 2009 is when I NOTICED he was using hard core again the crystal meth!!! The problem with him is that he is OVER the top with his usage.

It isn't OH lets do a line or two here and there but still sleep NOOOOO, he smokes it and he got back into slmaming it with a needle!!!!! He was using while still in our home, and then our BEAUTIFUL HOME turned into a junkyard throughout, when he lost home, he moved in with his mom in there home of 50 years where he lived all his life!

He started suspecting that someone was watching him, talking to him outside his bedroom window, and maybe even coming in and out of their home??? THEN HIS MOM DIED.........It is ONLY him and his brother, there are no other siblings.

He's been living in his mom and dads home which is like looking at the BEAVERS HOME FROM THE TV SHOW LEAVE IT TO BEAVER, with all the appliances from then etc, and now looks like a junkyard!! His brother was left with being the executor, that we know of?? This home was paid off MANY years ago. It is valued right now in this economy at like 300K.........

He is supposed to be cleaning up the inside of the home and getting it ready to be sold but instead he has thrashed it, put towels on the windows.....

HE MISSES INPORTANT FAMILY EVENTS!! FORGOT HIS GRANDAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY, NEVER CALLS ANYONE?? INSISTS THAT PEOPLE ARE AFTER HIM, HE THINKS SOMEONE HAS HIM UNDER SURVEILLANCE, HIS HOME IS BUGGED, PEOPLE HAVE COME IN THE HOME AND GOTTEN HIS BANKING INFO BECAUSE HE HAS HAD SEVERALL HUNDRED COME UP MISSING. OUR DAUGHTER WILL NOT TALK TO HIM ANYMORE BECAUSE HE FREAKS HER OUT, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR HIM........I EVEN TRIED STAYING WITH HIM FOR THREE WEEKS AND THOUGHT I WAS GETTING HIM CLEAN BUT CAUGHT HIM SLAMMING IT AFTER THE FIRST WEEK I WAS THERE......

HE CONSTANTLY CALLS ME SAYING HE MAY NOT BE AROUND AND IF HE'S NOT THE MANAGER OF THE PUBLIC UNDERGROUND UTILITITES COMNPANY ARE RESPONSIBLE. NOW HE SAYS HE FOUND OUT HIS BROTHER IS BEHIND ALL THIS??? BOTTOM LINE HE NEEDS HELP AND WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO????????? ANYBODY HAVE ANY INPUT????? HE HAS NO INSUANCE RIGHT NOW............ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP, THIS IS A GOOD MAN. HIS DAUGHTER WANTS HER DADDY BACK SO BAD AND I WANT MY OLD FRIEND BACK, AND HIS DOG WANTS HIS NORMAL LOVING SELF BACK...........
