If you have a choice -- AVOID! AVOID! My wife has a rare neurological disorder leading to a type of aphasia, and has been receiving speech therapy with a woman who's been providing a lot of help. The therapist's agency was engaged by Infinite Home Health so my wife could continue her treatment. At the end of July, Infinite sent a nurse to re-evaluate my wife, who was approved for 12 more sessions with the therapist. However, after just two more sessions, the therapist had to go out of town for two weeks, and my wife did not want to start with a new therapist for that short time. We agreed with the agency to discharge my wife, and have her re-evaluated once again when the therapist returned, and pick up where we left off. However, once we were ready to resume, Annette, the case manager at Infinite said she would not re-certify my wife for the remaining sessions she had already been approved for. Why? (Get ready to laugh.) She said she didn't have a nurse available to come to our home to do the eval. Here's the funny part: We live in Studio City. The Infinite office is in Woodland Hills -- about 20 minutes away. She said she only had two nurses in the field, and neither of them wanted to cross the 405 Fwy. "because of traffic." Wow, what a professional outfit. My wife's speech therapist got the news from Annette earlier in the day that she wouldn't re-certify my wife, but Annette never mentioned the nurse/traffic issue. I asked her why she failed to mention that. Annette said "[The therapist] doesn't work for me. I'm not obligated to give her a reason." Nice attitude. I'm left with the impression that Infinite Home Health represents everything American consumers hate about "health care" in this country. We will now be on the hunt for another outfit to provide the service we are looking for.
