This company took care of my grandmother a while back and they were great. The nurse was kind and their physical therapist helped her a lot. The office staff was always very professional when I called in and coordinated very well with her doctor, making everything much easier on us. Thanks, House Calls!

Details:

Stay away from this company. My husband's brother moved himself into their parents home after their dad died. My husband has POA, durable POA, medical POA, etc. He monitored his mom on a regular basis. He told his brother to get a housekeeper as the house was getting dirtier and dirtier. We all cleaned the home on numerous occasions but we all worked full time. His brother "claimed" that he hired someone from the home health care company to clean the home. My husband also told him it was time to get full time help as my mother-in-law was deteriorating. He refused as he was enjoying his free room and board. Finally, my husband told his brother it was time to move her into a facility specializing in dementia. His brother screamed, cussed both of us out, and physically threatened to harm my husband if he tried to move their mom. His brother had one interest, and that was in whatever money he was to get when she died. After finding a care facility, my husband had to have an Alvin police officer escort him to the home in order to remove his mom. One of the employees from this company was there. She told my husband that his mom was fine, and he was not taking their mother anywhere! Yes, this is while the police officer was standing there and my husband had all his POA paperwork in hand. He told her this did not concern her. She called her boss and was told it was ok. Unbelievable! My husband moved his mom into Autumn Grove in Pearland. Three days later, she was rushed to the hospital with a horrible UTI and impacted bowels. She was very ill, and almost died. With the wonderful care of Hermann Hospital, she recovered, and more wonderful care at Autumn Grove, she recovered, and she celebrated her 95th birthday there. She bounced back beautifully while under their care. We all were finally able to visit her without being cursed at and threatened by the brother. It was wonderful to see her flourish. In the meantime, my husband was able to get into the home where the conditions were deplorable. There was her feces on the carpet of her bedroom. The toilets and tubs were full of black mold and mildew. The dust and spider webs were so thick, that we all had to wear heavy masks to enter the home. The smell was over whelming. The brother, being very angry about not having the financial control any longer, reported both of us to the DA for exploitation of her money. This went to APS where of course you are guilty until proven innocent. The APS case worker said she called this company who told them the home was in good condition! Yes, they lied. Fortunately, we took videos of the filth in the home. Of course we were cleared of all the false charges. So, under the care of this company, my mother-in-law almost died, in addition to being liars, and trying to interfere with something that was none of their business. If you are considering this company, don't. I'm happy to say, my mother-in-law is back with us, in a clean home, and at almost 96, doing beautifully!
