Stay away at all costs if you want to live! This hospital is a disgrace! Fort Walton Beach Medical Center almost killed me with their negligence! Nurses are so lazy and unprofessional that you would have to wait forever to get any help there. All you would get are just millions of excuses why they were not able to do that or this or why they forgot that or this. They were so horrible that THEIR HANDS WERE SHAKING when they were connecting me to IV! Can you believe that nurses thought it is OK to DROP A NEEDLE AND THEN JUST PICK IT UP AND STICK INTO MY VEIN! Hospital rooms are dirty and nobody there knows that they have to wash their hands before doing anything to a patient, the only thing remembering about that is their poster on the wall. During the surgery they FORGOT A THING INSIDE OF ME which almost killed me and caused me to bleed for 7 months after that! After the surgery all they cared is to get me discharged as soon as possible in 48 hours even though my insurance was covering 100% the full recovery as many days as I needed! And they were not ashamed to falsify the information on my discharge papers! Later on, when I complained they just lied to me giving their empty promises to make things right by me and then never called back! Instead of taking responsibility and have some decency at least to apologize to me for all the harm they have done and be grateful that I didn't sue them for the 1st degree negligence (even though I was advised to do so having my video and picture evidence), they just continued to ignore my complaint and even dared to send my account into collection with some fake charges after my insurance fully paid them thousands of dollars for all that horrible job they have done which nearly killed me and harmed my health forever!
