I had an ECHO test done on my heart about a month ago. I asked for the results in person before I left the Radiology Department. The nurse denied my request. I was told to have my cardiologist call during my next visit to him, and that he would receive a fax of the results immediately upon request. My cardiologist called the Radiology Department, which was the only phone number I had. Nobody returned his call. I made a 50 mile round trip visit for nothing. Eight days ago I called the Radiology Department myself. I asked for a hard copy of my Echo Heart Test to be mailed to my house, I even offered to drive to the hospital to pick up in person, but was told that mail would suffice. It has been nine days since that first phone call. I have called three other times since then. I called Radiology Department and Medical Records dept. I get nothing but voice mails. Nobody calls me back. Still have not received my test in the mail. I find it disappointing that St. Francis Hospital conducts business in such a thoughtless and insensitive manner. I do not feel well and need to see my cardiologist. I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. I have no idea why sending results of a test in the mail is such a daunting challenge for them. I also have no idea why they would not give me a hard copy of the results when I was standing right there immediately after the test and ASKED for a copy of the results. I still need a copy of my ECHO test.
