post surgery I became infected. My appendix removal went well but the post infection needed treatment. the treatment was fine except the refusal of pain care. I understand the narcotic abuse issues our communities are dealing with however the people who need pain treatment are not getting it or are unfairly being judged. Its unfortunate the care is good but the patients are treated like drug seeking junkies simply because they ask for adiquite pain care. I know of 4 people with the same issue within a 2 month span. what a shame doctors pick and choose whe to make comfortable. its discusting to hear doctors providing good pain care to some and others get almost none even thought their injuries are proveable and commonly known painful situations. This er sent me to my family dr who sent me back then sent to surgeon who said see family dr for acute not cronic pain. I whish I could be comfortable for a few hours but doctors playing god and judging prevents that. Its a really bad stuation. this ER needs education in treating pain there is no boiler plate way to do it. Listening to peoples needs would br s good start.
