Please visit this nursing home several times and be very observant before placing a family member at this facility. Do not rely on what the administration tells you, unfortunately our family learned this the hard way.

My mother was placed at this facility on the recommendation of her physican(he was also the medical director). Within 24 hours of her admission we realized we had made a huge mistake. The care she recieved was very poor, and we were staying with her around the clock after finding her call light under her bed. When we voiced concerns about her care to the administrator, she was very rude. We were in the process of moving her to another facility when she became so ill that she had to be hospitalized, and even then I had to demand that an ambulance be called to transport her to the ER. She died a few days later of aspiration pneumonia. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

My parent was in this facility for about 10 days after leaving a beloved assisted living facility in Paragould. The care she received was so bad that I had started working on moving her from this for profit facility to a non-profit when she passed away. In my research I found that for profit facilities are just that--for profit. St. Elizabeths is owned by Reliance Health Care Management in Conway, AR. They own 20 facilities in AR and TX, for complaints call David Barker at 501-932-0050. I wish I had had this info. before my mother passed, maybe it would have made a difference.

Medicaid / Medi-Cal
Details:

I placed my mother here because her health had become so bad she needed help with dressing, going to the bathroom, etc. However, she told me that "the workers didn't like her pushing the call button" so she did these things on her own (at a risk of falling and breaking bones). The other comment about a disconnect about the quality of care and their paperwork is 100% correct.

My mother was a resident for less than two weeks before she passed away at a local hospital. Please do good research before placing a family member at this facility.

My mother was here on bed rest for 13 days. She had 2 baths and no shampoo during that time. One of the baths was from the feet up. The food was horrible the the staff seemed untrained, even uncaring. She will NEVER go back to this place and I would recommend it to no one else.
