This is a decent facility, however, it is not without some problems. I feel that the staff is caring and kind, but not properly trained in all situations. My mother's knee was twisted while being transferred from wheelchair to the bed and she never recovered due to various reasons. If the aides had used a lift to transfer her, as had been done numerous times, I truly believe she would still be alive today. They were careless and reckless in assuming that they were capable of transferring her without the lift. While very nice and caring people, it is shocking to me that this level of casual care is going on at this facility. I know it wasn't intentional for them to hurt her, but it did happen, and they are to blame! This happened in Feb of 2017, and she passed away two months to the day of the accident. Such a tragedy.

This facilty does not care about the person, only the funds they will recieve from Insurance and Medicare. My mother was at Woodlake for short term care, and the nursing /social services staff was not forthcoming with information on her progress and then told us she was not progressing and had to ocme off of Medicare. They waited the exact number of days in order for payment from Insurance. They also waited the exact number of days to ship her off to the hospital even though she was very sick several days prior- this ewas done, so again they would receive payment form Medicaid - They do not care about the well being of the person. They are not upfront in telling you information about your loved one they just say everything is going well and she had a good day. The CNA's are very helpful and work hard and are special people to be able to handle the patients. i would not send my pet to this facility.
