This facility to me was clean and the nurses and staff very helpful in cleanliness and in giving daily activities to the patients. My only complaint is that the nurses or can need to concentrate on the whole area and not congregate near the nurses station. More attention needs to be given to the dementia unit in helping to prevent falls. Although it's hard for a dementia patient not to fall that's part of the illness. Just need too spread can or nurses out more. Other than that they were good in their cleanliness and helping with the patients to eat and bathe I have seen a lot of Medicaid facilities before I chose golden living for my mom and when I seen there was no urine smell I knew the nurses were pretty much on top of things. The director jane was very nice and was very attentive to my mothers needs. I always was updated daily on my mothers situation in her care and I know the nurses were very caring as well as the activity director.

Very poor care given to our family member. Was never told what was wrong with him. Only vague answers and no could look us in the eyes. They try to get you to sign no hospitalization forms and count on you not reading the forms before you sign them. READ EVERYTHING! KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING. THIS FORM SAYS THEY WILL NOT SEND HIM TO THE HOSPITAL AND IF THE PERSON IS FED THROUGH IV, THEY WILL CUT IT OFF! MEANING YOUR FAMILY MEMBER WILL NOT GETS THEIR NOURISHMENT. BASICALLY THEY WILL CUT EVERYTHING OFF AND LET YOUR FAMILY DIE! THIS IS CRUELTY AND IN A SENSE... MURDER! A MAJORITY OF THE PATIENTS LOOK AS IF THEY ARE DRUGGED UP OR LOOK DEPRESSED AND NOT TRULY CARED FOR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS FACILITY.
