"There are some very evil people working here." An apt description by the most wonderful person there ever was, who was taken to this facility to "rehab" on a stretcher, and in less than three months, he was taken out in a BODY BAG! They say that "no parent should ever have to bury a child," but there are SOME children who should NEVER have to bury a parent who suffered and died in such an unfathomable manner! Please don't EVER send someone you love here! Stay far, far away from here! EVIL WORKS THERE!

This nefarious nursing home is a for-profit operation, in operation in blatant violation of state regulations. The principals have no regard for the law, and treat the elderly residents like chattel, not people. They either don't perform background checks at all, or hire people with checkered pasts at a lower rate of pay, then use their past against them. Registered nurses at that facility LIE, LIE, LIE! Would YOU want to be LIED to at a nursing home, about how YOUR loved one died? This is not a nursing home, it is a warehouse for old people to go to die. Under no circumstances would I refer this facility to anyone. Please consider the Armenian Home, or the Jewish Home. The care there is much better.

Two words: ABSOLUTELY NOT. For the money charged to Private Pay families, seniors should be treated like they're staying at The Plaza! This God-awful place does little more than warehouse long-term seniors in a really dismal place to die. "Rehab?" If you call coming in on a stretcher and leaving in a body bag "rehab," then OK. They provide rehab. The State needs to come in and close this place DOWN!

SOME GOOD ASPECTS (CLEAN, GOOD NURSING OVERALL) BUT BETTER FOR PATIENTS WITH MORE MINIMAL NEEDS AS FAR AS REHAB GOES. THEY SEEM TO PREFER MORE PASSIVE PATIENTS, AND KEEP EVERYONE IN WHEELCHAIRS WAY TOO MANY HOURS. iN MY VIEW THE REHAB DEPT IS NOT ONLY UNDERQUALIFIED BUT OVERPAID TOO...AND FAMILIES ARE NOT INTEGRATED INTO THE CARE TEAM AT ALL...MDS-"DIRECTORS" ALSO ALLOWED TO MAKE THIS THEIR 3rd JOB (NO OVERSIGHT BY NJ HEALTH DEPT?).

SOME GOOD ASPECTS (CLEAN, GOOD NURSING OVERALL) BUT BETTER FOR PATIENTS WITH MORE MINIMAL NEEDS AS FAR AS REHAB GOES. THEY SEEM TO PREFER MORE PASSIVE PATIENTS, AND KEEP EVERYONE IN WHEELCHAIRS WAY TOO MANY HOURS. iN MY REVIEW THE REHAB DEPT IS NOT ONLY UNDERQUALIFIED BUT OVERPAID TOO...

Sorry we ever choose this nursing home for my mom. The administrative staff does mot listen to you They tell you one thing and do whatever they want. My mother has had such poor care in 3 months there!, developed decubitus from not being changed i found her saturated in urine that there was a puddle on the floor . And then did not heal from poor medical treatment . Which after 5 weeks of the same treatment you would think someone would have the smarts to say the treatment really needs to be changed. I asked every week and was ignored I would think twice about placing my love one in this so called 5 star rated home

Emerson Health Care Center Should Be On The SFF List

Emerson Health Care Center Should Be On The SFF List
Details:

The Special Focus Facility lists identifies nursing homes which warrant closure! The "Medicare" ratings mean NOTHING! Read the REAL reviews on sites like Yelp! (don't forget the ones at the bottom "not recommended" and Google. The "glowing" reviews are all fakes written by employees and their friends and families, and the scathing ones are written by people who have had ACTUAL experience with this grossly substandard facility! Proper background checks are not performed, and some of the "professionals" there act anything but professional! Lies and denies, that's how this facility rolls, so the State needs to ROLL in there and close that place down!

Can't Get Anyone to Return my Calls to Get Healthcare Records

Can't Get Anyone to Return my Calls to Get Healthcare Records
Details:

My Dad was in your facility twice in an 8 month period. He now requires home health care. My Mom and Dad both have LTC insurance to help defray the cost. We have been unable to activate that insurance because we've been calling Ashley in your Medical Records department requesting my Dad's Daily Flow report. We call weekly since February. She has never returned our call. The insurance calls her, she never calls them back. My Mom has been paying out of her pocket for a service that is covered by LTC insurance, yet because of this Ashley person, we cannot access the money. How do we solve this?

Untrained cna and prefers phillipinos nurses
Details:

This facility demoralizes all other nurses that are not of phillipino race and makes them feel as if the y are in ferior other races are forced quit or fired a at higher rates than phillipinos if most all nurses of other race than phillopino were contacted that left this facility they will agree. Some cnas there should not be there one name Brenda that works o. 1 south she is unsanitary and should not work witb patients. If thd state test some of the cnas skills or a s k them questions seperately the would be shocked
