Where has administration been . How can they have not been aware of the gross, ongoing disgrace that has spread in this facility. There is filth everywhere. The kitchen is a breeding ground for food borne illness. Walls and appliances are caked with dry food and waste. Shame on the administrator, DON,owners, and the board of health for not taking co plants seriously

Buckingham Valley nursing is deficient in all areas of care. CNA's are not trained. No communication between staff resident's family. Rooms are dark and gloomy. Floors are littered with soiled linens, and food from past meals. Residents are depressed and sad. Staff does not talk with resident's or answer call bells.

It pains me to give even one star, but giving zero stars is not an option. My family member had personal property stolen while at this facility. Call bells ring for hours at a time until the patient has no choice but to wheel themselves to the nurse station to ask for necessary medication. This place is filthy everywhere, absolutely bottom of the barrel. We looked at the same disgusting food stains on the floor for days. I feel terrible for the patients who are not cognizant enough to advocate for themselves. We had my family member moved to a different (much better) facility. Please do not send your loved ones to this sad excuse for a nursing home/rehab. There are many other options which are a thousand times better than Buckingham valley.

This is regarding my mother's two-month stay at BV Rehab. My mother did well during the rehab part of her stay, gaining functionality from when she was admitted. However, her gains were not enough to return her to assisted living and she transitioned to custodial care. There she either languished in bed all day or was put in a wheelchair and pushed up against a wall. At the end of just three weeks of custodial care she had regressed back to her original level of functionality. She was depressed, had lost weight, and was more confused. She had to be carried into and out of a wheelchair. (In her current nursing home, she zooms around with a walker.) We found the staff harried and unresponsive. Her nurse did not even know my mother needed a wheelchair. The administration has not responded to my requests for copies of her medical record. BV Rehab's contract demands that patient’s give them full access to his/her financial information, that all social security, pensions, and other income are direct deposited into their accounts, and that they become the patient’s representative any legal filings, hearings, etc. At the same time they hold the patient responsible for timely payment of bills (regardless of source of payment), charging 18% interest to the patient when payments, whether or not they are in the patient's control, are late. There is even a clause that makes the patient's representative PERSONALLY responsible for any outstanding bills. Do not send your loved one to a place that financially rapes their patients while at the same time ignores their day-to-day care and quality of life.

we had our father in another facility, Majestic Oaks and they to had a clause that had the POA reponsible for the bills. It was explained to me that they have a lot of problems having families turn over the required income from their Social Security, so they have made it so that the social security comes right to the nursing home.
