never go here, the immediate care staff, the lpn's are the only ones that care, the administration only cares about numbers and money and all they know how to say is lies, the worst nursing home I have ever been to.

Just came from Golden living after visiting with my friend who lives there. He was clean, shaven, nicely dressed and out of his room watching TV with other residents. He seemed to be in a good mood, too, although he is non-verbal. Good job, today, Golden Living Staff!

Appaling is all I can say when I whent to visit my relative that was staying here for rehab. Patients are only allowed 2 showers a week, fresh water was not given to the patient for 20 hours. Rooms were filfthy and smelled. Food was of substandard quality. Dietary restrictions were not taken in to consideration, my relative was diabetic and the staff kept inquiring if she wanted Ice Cream. Individual was left in a knee exerciser for over 2 hours when one hour is the limit. I wouldn't let me dog stay in this facility. This facility should be closed by the department of health.

There was a strong odor of feces through out the building. My bathroom, which I shared with a roommate who used a bed pan, was very filthy. There was feces in the sink. I reported this four times before it was cleaned up. I checked myself out of this place after 2 nights. I could not recommend it to anyone.

lack of staffing to give quality care to residents not very friendly aides for the patients family member was put back in bed wet..when we came in in the evening just to see what kind of care he would get after 9pm..we found him wet...asked aid for change of linen and clothes for him..had an attitude and was like oh, he just had a bath...he was very susceptible for pnemonia. Lack of doctor coming to see him..he layed in the bed for over a week with pnemonia and he just kept giving him an antibiotic..family had to beg for them to take him to the hospital lack of cleaniness...often found left over bandgages, needles, wrapping laying around on floor. for the residents with no family members seeing them they were never bothered...i never ever seen them clean or help the roommate who later died of sepsis. they did complain about his breath and how they didn't like to get close to him...i told them it was there job to help him with hygene..didn't happen...the breath was probably a sign of his infection but they don't care. family member needed suctioned contstantly but they did it when they got a chance..often found him with dried up mucas around his mouth and cheeks and mucas down his face laying on shoulder or towel whichever it hit. they would swear they were just in there but it wouldn't have been dried up then. hands were swollen but they didn't contact the doctor..had to make them do that. we wanted him out of that place but they/doctor swore he needed physical therepy ..which we later found out from a nurses aid that looked after him for us that he wasn't going to physical therapy anymore due to being too weak. but yet we still got billed for it. We were at that nursing home every day. one family member or another and it was very hard and they are not helpful with getting them home to you what so ever. they don't want ot lose their meal ticket!! i would never recommend this place to anyone. he was only there for 6 1/2 months and it was heart wrenching trying to get thru it and get him back home!!
