The Director of Nursing "K.S." at this facility is extremely unprofessional when addressing the nursing staff. The DON at this facility will berate her employees in a demeaning way in front of co-workers and patients. This causes a high turnover of the nursing staff which directly causes a disproportionate nurse to patient ratio. Low employee morale. It all starts at the top......poor upper management. With that said....the Nursing Staff on the floor is still able to be cordial, professional and provide great care to the patients.

I read the other review on this page and I have no idea when they were at this nursing home, but I can say this; my father was in this home first as a short term resident and later we returned him when his age no longer allowed him to live by hisself. We never saw any of the things this other person saw and we still virtually are at the facility daily and at all times of the day and night. I have no idea what we would of done if the staff had not of been there to help us, they have all been wonderful. If we had any concerns or questions they were taken seriously and handled immediately. I would recommend this facility highly.

This place is horrible. My father was there almost a year ago recovering from a surgery and almost died. Please, Please, do not put your parents or loved ones there if they need more than the most basic care. I went to see him about three times a day, I was fortunate, I live only about 3 miles down the road. He has several health conditions including advanced COPD which requires a constant monitoring of his oxygen supply including the amount that is actually in his system. He was there less than three days when I came to have dinner with him and found him sitting in a chair with only a gown, which was half off, he was turning blue with his hands in front of his face, shivering. I immediately got an aide, who eventually found a nurse, who immediately, at my demand, called 911. There is no doubt in my mind that my Father would have died that night if I hadn't returned to check on him. I reported this facility to the state, and cannot believe they are still open.
