If you are considering going here for help, go elsewhere! I went to begin the process of getting back on medication as I have been nursing & therefore, off them for 2 years. Work schedules only allowed for an after hrs. appointment. The emergency therapist I saw (Cawetha Mitchell) was a quack, a complete joke! She has apparently never been trained or learned how to properly deal with someone who has a mental disorder & needs to choose another field to pursue as a career choice. She told my husband that she feared for her life after only speaking with me for 5 minutes and had me involuntarily admitted to the hospital for an Evaluation for a min. 72 hour mental hold. She told my husband lies to try to scare him into agreeing with her & telling the hospital I need to stay, it didn't work sweetheart : ) He knows me very well & saw right through your scared b/s. All you did was make sure that I NEVER set foot in Daymark again, nor will I seek help at any mental health facility EVER! I especially don't appreciate the p#$$y a$$ way you went about it! NEVER do this again! Speak to patients like they are human, not serial killers! P.S. She never even looked at the intake paperwork they have you fill out (never asked for it, I still have it!) GREAT WORK there Doc.! She wouldn't let my husband stop & get me some food on the way, knowing I hadn't eaten all day & the hospital wouldn't have any so late, HEARTLESS! Even hospital staff said this lady is inexperienced, has very little education or at best needs more training. They said she definitely "needs thicker skin" had no right to force this on me, & thankfully, they let me go home to my family. FYI: staying in this place WILL make a person kill themselves! Very depressing, small, jail like cell with blinds on the windows that can't be opened from the inside so they can watch you like a caged animal. The window does not lead outside and there are no real windows. Had I been forced to stay here, I would have lost my mind!

I went to to Daymark for over seven years. My therapist was wonderful. Then they moved into group therapy which did not feel comfortable to me. The psychiatrist Dr. Shah is knowledgeable. However, I felt like he was pushing more expensive drugs for me to take after a time. I finally decided to leave because I simply could not afford the medication. Otherwise the staff was nice, the facilities adequate.

There are a few reasons I gave such poor ratings for this place.I have tried to get medical records from this place through a clinic and have yet to receive any. It has been almost a year NOW! Also when I saw a Doctor there, he made me feel very dumb and stupid { especially because I speak English and he had a accent that was hard to understand due him being from a foreign country.}On top of that, I was MIS-DIAGNOSED because he didn't give me a fair chance. I had seen a previous doctor that had mis- diagnosed me also, so when they received my medical records, he assumed what the doctor had said before, was right; and continued with that diagnose. I felt like I couldn't trust him. And in a doctor you should be able to feel like you TRUST them with you life.I only went to the facility about 3 to 6 months. His mis-diagnose was something a family doctor was able to diagnose and treat. Thank goodness I had those feelings to go somewhere else and get proper treatment from a doctor that care about me and that I could trust.
