If you know of anyone that is considering going here do not let them go. I repeat do not let them go here. this is the worst place you can possibly send them. Dr.'s and Staff are rude and really do not care what happens to you. trust me I know. Food is awful and staff does not care about anyone. Treatment is watching a damn movie. There are no professionals that will come talk to you. All you can do is talk to the other people in there. It's no other than a jail. Beds are terrible and lights are always on. Just when you finally go to sleep you are awaken by a nurse shining a damn flashlight in your eyes. Worst experience I have ever had. I heard them call the patients in there as those people. Please do not go there. You will be sorry if you do. You are nothing more than a criminal in there.

I recently moved from North Carolina and i was on drugs. My husband now my boyfriend at the time wanted me to to go in the pavilion and i did and that was the beginning of jan 2011 and i admit i milk that for all it was worth. I still got to be on my meds plus they gave me more. I stayed 1week 1/2. well i got out and moved in with someone i met there. Stayed a week there and at the end of that week i was begging for help and had someone call a ambulance and i was admitted in the pavilion. I felt like that was my rock bottom. Since that day Jan 29 when i entered that door till this day im clean. 80 some days. Dr. Sanchez was my doctor. She is great. When u say u want off all ur meds she makes u stick to that there too. I gradually got winged off all my meds now just on a hormone meds. I thank God for most then the doctor, nurses, family and friends and the wonderful facility after i left there in Dumas Texas. The refuge. I was in rehab there 60 days. Im very proud to say im doing well. I have a full time job. I got me a car 2 weeks ago. I got married 3 weeks ago to a wonderful man and my family believing in me. I thank all the staff at the pavillion. A very thankful Patient..

I was extremely misinformed by medical personel and voluntarily admitted myself to the Pavillian. The next morning, realizing I had been totally misinformed, I requested to leave. I was told I had to talk to the psychiatrist prior to dismissal. He denied my request to leave, even though I was there volunarily and not a threat to myself or another person. The staff personnel and Dr. Hussain talked to my wife, and I have yet to know the content of those conversations. I do know, they blatently disregarded my HEPPA rights. I reported the HEPPA violations to the Pavillion and of course the employees have rights so they would not tell me what action was taken or if any action was taken. The bottom line is, when I got home, my wife asked me to leave. The only thing that the Pavillion accomplished is soaking the Veterans Administration for hospital charged where absolutely nothing was accomplished. My suggestion is, if you have good insurance, stay away from the Pavillion. You may be there a long time. These people work for a profit organization and it is obvious how they operate.

I think the pavillion is horrible..all they give a damn about is whether you have insurance or not. If you don't they turn you away. I'm like what the hell will it take for someone to help me. Slice my own fucking throat to get help. Idk. Its a shame the way these people talk to you when you are reaching out and no where else to turn.
