Absolutely NO care provided for alcohol detox. This place is what I imagine prison to be like. I came out worse mentally than when I went in, and was basically told at intake that I couldn't leave when I stated my desire to do so before I was even admitted. Food is terrible, some staff are very rude, and no hydration is provided for those going through alcohol withdrawals. That's a very basic need, and they can't even provide that!! There was a water fountain, with tiny Dixie cups, but that was all. And all adults are put into one group in the CD ward, no matter what their issue - several were there for depression or attempted suicide, but no specific help for anything. Basically we were babysat for the duration, yelled at when to get up to see the doctor, yelled at when to go to the "cafeteria", yelled at when to take your meds, yelled at when to go to bed. Just awful.
