Ultimately, you're treated like a number rather than I patient. When you tell tech about past experiences with dialysis, your words go in one ear and out the other and they just do what they do for every patient. I got really sick from having too much fluid removed during my treatment, passed out three separate times, and when I would tell other techs not to remove fluid they would tell me they wouldn't, and then an hour or two into treatment I would start getting a horrible headache. When I would complain, they'd "reassure" me that they're only taking minimum fluid.. but this was after they told me they were not taking any fluid and just cleaning my blood. After the third time this happened in a week, I demanded they take me off halfway through my treatment because they clearly were not listening to me. Since then, I haven't heard from anyone at this clinic. Not my doctor, not a nurse, not the social worker - NOBODY. They clearly do not care about their patients. I do not feel comfortable or safe every going back to the clinic again - and this is a life or death situation. I clearly would rather choose death than go through the pain and distress this place caused me.
