I had major surgery and when I got out of recovery nobody checked on me for 9 hours. I'm allergic to sulfa but guess what antibiotic I was given? Had a severe reaction. The surgeon made a mistake and there were not nearly enough nurses on the floor. One wonderful nurse quietly suggested to me shortly after surgery that I'd get far better care at home, so she got me out less than 24 hours post surgery. My neighbors have had similar experiences. It is a poor hospital and best avoided if you can drive to Bellingham or Everett.
