A forever recovery is truly a place of healing. Through it's holistic approaches, it covers recovery from the beginning to end. Starting with its detox/residential all the way to intensive outpatient, and after care planning a forever recovery delivers wholeness to the path towards sobriety. Not only does a forever recovery focuses on the individual, it views the process of growth to be family oriented and takes on a magnificent systems approach to reuniting individuals to a healthy, functioning family system by revising the system itself and all members within it. They do not only believe in providing change on all aspects of unhealthy self-medication but transcends the individual within on many levels of the human experience. It is very common to have addiction related to other mental obstacles, therefore their attendance to Duel Diagnosis is on point and professional best practices. In given the honor to meet the founder, I have seen transcendence at its best representation due to his phenomenal knowledge in field and moreover, the clear empathy, sincerity, and compassion of this individual who represents these exact components in providing true healing. Conclusively, a forever recovery's philosophy, staff, and mission truly aligns with one another in a very cohesive modality. The environment is excellent, people are truly those who care, and professional style is that in which I say I sincerely trust! They are called forever recovery because the person who leaves after their treatment stays clean, they handle the underlying issues, so they will be fully treated.

My son is doing much better since he went to A Forever Recovery. He’s had a crack addiction for 11 years and in the time he’s been in and out of both jail and rehab. Rehab usually when he was ordered by the court to go. Even when he was clean it never felt like he would ever stop using crack completely, more like he was just taking a break and would start again. When my son went to AFR I was extremely skeptical. I wasn’t sure how much good yet another rehab was going to do. It’s hard watching someone you love going through an addiction. All you want to do is help them in any way you can but there’s nothing that you can really do besides send them to rehab. Something I had already done plenty of times with no results at all. I was really skeptical of A Forever Recovery when my son went there. I wasn’t going to get my hopes up though. The program itself was different than what I was used to seeing. It was different in that there were multiple programs that my son could do there and he could do what felt right to him. The place itself was really beautiful and my son had a sort of serenity to himself while he was there. The calm atmosphere of the facility made it easier for my son to concentrate on his program. The staff there are remarkable. They all have an understanding of what the patients are going through and a willingness to do whatever is needed to help the patients overcome their addictions. The compassion they showed my son while he was there helped him so much. He was able to sit down and really listen to what the counselors had to say instead of just immediately dismissing their advice because they couldn’t possibly understand what he was going through. He went to AFR 8 months ago and has been home for 6 months now. Since he’s come home he has been doing really well. While he was at AFR he started trying to mend the relationship he has with his dad. It’s always been a much more strained relationship than his and mine. He has continued to do that since he’s been home. He’s still going to meeting and working on his aftercare. Most of all though this time doesn’t seem like it’s just a break. It feels different, my son is acting different and it’s such an amazing change. My family was completely torn apart when my son started using crack. Since he’s come back from AFR our family is starting to heal and I couldn’t thank AFR enough for that.

A Forever Recovery is really the best rehab facility. Finally my boyfriend accepted my help and let me call this center. After I called them he decided to go to an inpatients program to A Forever Recovery. I think that was the best decision he made maybe he could not have done it on his own. But I am so proud of him he went there. He chose me and our relationship instead of his addiction. What they did to him at the facility it is incredible. He changed a lot he thinks different about a lot of things. He said it was not easy at the beginning but he kept telling himself that he can do it. He was strong enough to complete the program and the staff was there to help him through that difficult time. He told me that he could not thank enough to the staff everything they did to him. Every patients are treated well at the rehab. He said he liked the fact that there are some staff member who was an addict before and he loved to talk to them they share so many stories with the patients so they can learn from them and see that the overcoming is possible. Thank you so much A Forever Recovery for giving back my love of my life.

I would highly recommend this facility. A Forever Recovery is one of the best rehab center. They offer many different type of treatment programs. Everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. From all the treatment I love their faith based holistic treatment program the most. I think this is the best way of the recovery. My opinion is that it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other drugs like prescription drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them and everything starts all over again. That`s why I really like A Forever Recovery they have so many alternatives to get clean. A Forever Recovery helped a lot of people this way and most of them still doing the same they started during rehabilitation and still going to the church after they finish the rehab. AFR gives you a second change to live and to make changes in your life. If you or your loved one is having a problem with drugs or alcohol check out this place.

AFR is one of the top rehab centers available. From the beautiful facility where you can completely concentrate on yourself and getting through your program without outside distractions to some of the best staff you could ever ask for. They have holistic programs which help you overcome addiction without the use of drugs. They also offer after care so no matter what happens once you've completed your program, you have someone you can call to get help whenever needed. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should.

I’m so grateful to A Forever Recovery. They helped my sister when I honestly thought no one could. Watching someone you love struggle with addiction is the worst kind of hell. You love this person and yet you watch them hurt themselves and others over and over again. When she first started using drugs heavily I was pretty young. I didn’t really think it could get as bad as it got. Over the next 15 years I watched my sister lie, cheat and steal her way through life. She’d go to rehab and would convince my parents that this time it was different. This time she’d stay clean. She’s put my family through so much that when my Mom called and said she was going to another rehab I just rolled my eyes at her. I get way my Mom never gave up on her, she’s her Mom how could she? However, I gave up on my sister a long time ago. I grew up and learned to live without my big sister around and was just used to it that way. My Mom convinced me to call my sister when she was through with her detox and I could tell that A Forever Recovery was different. She didn’t sound like she was forcing an emotion she didn’t feel. She wasn’t trying to convince me of how this time would be different. She said she’d try. She’d put an honest effort into doing her program. The program she did at A Forever Recovery saved her life. She’s doing better than ever now. She’s works on her recovery still and puts actual effort into it. However, she doesn’t pretend she’s doing okay when she’s not. She asks for help when she needs it and she’s honest with herself and others. That’s more than I’ve ever seen before. She finished her program 6 months ago and she’s still clean and sober. It’s the longest clean time she’s had since she started struggling with drug addiction. More than that though, is the fact that I believe in my big sister again. I’m starting to trust her again and it’s a really nice feeling. AFR is such an amazing facility. If you have someone you’ve watched struggle with addiction, send them to A Forever Recovery. A Forever Recovery is a facility you can trust to help that person you love.

I was looking on the internet for the best rehab facility which has the right treatment program for one of my friend. I checked out several facilities and I can say A Forever Recovery seems the best choice. I like that they don`t want to help to every patients the same way. The patients have a chance to find the best way of recovery for themselves. My friend decided to go to A Forever Recovery to receive the help he needed. He completed their program and he said he liked the holistic treatment the most his opinion is that is the best way to overcome a drug addiction. He said there was different type of treatments as they say on the internet and they have many activities the patients can do. Such as exercise and music therapy. The place looks nice, clean he said he`s glad he chose AFR that was the right place for him. And he would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs help with any addiction.

A Forever Recovery is definitely one of the best rehabs I've ever seen. The staff there are amazing and they actually care about the clients that go there. I've been to a few rehabs and AFR is by far the best in patient care. When you go in you get treated with respect and you know the counselors are actually there to help you. Which they will. With the different options they have available for treatments you end up doing a program that is right for you. There's no perfect way to treat addiction and AFR really shows they know this with the different programs. It's comfortable there. You aren't in a hospital setting and it's like a lodge that you are just staying at for a while. The scenery is really nice as well and it's a great place to go to clear your head and get yourself better.

This facility is not very good to be a resident of or work for. The DON up there does a very bad job. She doesn't know how to run the place, but thinks she does. She always puts the blame on others instead of herself and she thinks nothing her day shift does is wrong. The assistants on days and evenings do not do their job right. They don't work as a team, argue amongst one another, and don't answer call lights unless they feel like it. Half the time they just walked right by them. They'd rather go smoke than answer that call light first. The night shift was very wonderful. They answered call lights promptly and were always very sweet and caring. They'd bend over backwards for you. Just wish their DON and other head people up there would appreciate their work. The only good thing I have to say about that place is their night shift.

Since our experience, have heard many parents describe TAG as able to get resistanct kids to engage, care about the family, and work with the family as long as necessary. These people care and know what they are doing.

I would give negative stars if I could. Unfortunately the ones that show up are unable to be deleted..... This is the worst place to allow your loved one to go in hopes of getting any kind of treatment.... They say they are faith based, hah! The staff allow the kids to curse up a storm. they should be ashamed of themselves not to mention the medication mistakes including several missing pills wich happened to be misising date and initials of staff who supposably administered them. They lie, make up stories on these kids that are completely untrue. It is an injustice for anyone to be treated with such disregard. To top it off..... after diagnosis by their own referred doctor. The end result was within a few minutes of returning from that appt. they discharged the individual, lost all trust and any hopes that were there. They discriminate and punish to the cruelest extent. Took my father there due to severe headache, neck pain, and shaking. He was in unbelievable pain. Upon arriving he had a hard time walking, and due to construction it was a longer walk. Asked politely if we could use a wheel chair ... The worker said after huffing and puffing "I guess I'll go get you one." It was just getting started unfortunately. From that point he had his blood drawn by a tech who clearly was hurrying due to the overflow of patients , therefore having to change the bandage twice due to blood coming out and down his arm . From that point my father was in so much pain the only place for him to get comfortable was on the vinyl floor. Apparently the woman ( not sure what her job was) maybe monitoring the hallway started yelling actually blocked our path to engage in a verbal argument with my father getting called in finally after 7 hours. Long story short.. They said he had the flu and sent him home from there his brain continued to bleed due to the impatient and ignorant Doctor .. Wasn't until ambulance was called few days after when he arrived at blue island emergency room. The Doctor there immediately transferred him to a specialist at another hospital. She most likely saved his life. Christ hospital is the worst place to be when you are experiencing the unknown. I feel like they treat you like cattle. I'm so upset that he had to be in so much pain after they mus diagnosed him.

Well, my mother committed suicide about a month ago after years of mental and physical abuse from my brother. I had to go to Christ to sign an involuntary admission form with his social worker. I was received a very bad attitude from several hospital staff and had homosexual slurs yelled at me while i was leaving. There is NO care in the alleged " health care " that is offered there. I would not even take my dog there to get a vaccine. AVOID THIS PET HOSPITAL LIKE THE PLAGUE !!

We took my 78 year old Mother to Christ on 6/8/10 at about 6:30 pm. She had passed out earlier in the afternoon while with friends and took a very hard fall. Upon arriving I was impressed. They took her info, her history and then took her directly into the ER sending registration to us. That's where the good impression stopped. She was held in the ER for 25 hours because they had no available beds in the department that they wanted to transfer her to. Why ANY bed wouldn't do was beyond me since she was basically neglected by the ER staff after her initial diagnosis. Twice she had disconnected lines sending the monitor beeping to high heaven and no one responded. It was only because someone came into the room for supplies that they connected her again. And at 7:45 pm I had to track down her so-called nurse to ask if they intended to feed her dinner that night. She was finally transferred to a room at 9 pm but only because she was removed from critical status and moved to the cardiac floor. Why she couldn't go there in the first place, I'll never know! Day 3 she is scheduled for tests at 9:15 am for which she must fast, no food or drink. Mind you, she is flagged as a faint/fall risk, is dehydrated and under weight and they have no IV in her. We keep asking about the tests and are given NO information. They finally come for her at 1:30 pm and tell us that the tests will take 4 hours. This means that by the time all is said and done, she will not have had food or water for nearly 22 hours. And when we point out that this is unacceptable, they get a little nasty. But my favorite part of the afternoon was when the wheelchair was brought in the and the attendant tells my Mother, who can barely move at this point, to get in the chair. So much for the bright orange band on her arm that screams FALL RISK! Turns out that they didn't even do the tests that were scheduled and she would be fasting again on day 4. Day 4 was a bit better but not by much and I won't go into detail. I will say that I was put off with her nurse who, when my Mom complained of being hungry and asked for tea & crackers, made the remark, "What, do you have a tape worm?" In the 3 1/2 days that she was at Christ she had 4 meals, 1 bath and the worse care imaginable. You should not have to be concerned when leaving someone at the hospital and that just was not the case here. Please note that the doctors were A1 and we have nothing but thanks for the care and concern that they showed for my mother & the consideration they showed our family. I would use each & every one of them as long as they reside at another hospital.

16 hours waiting in the emergency room, staff has no clue what is going on, lack of training and coordination. Doctors are rarely seen and when the come to see you they have no idea what is wrong with you, you must explain what you have just gone through and give them all you 16 hours if emergency room experience. This is a great hospital gone bad! too may emergencies for the understaffed under trained hospital. This a very bad and is getting worse. Stay away if you can!

I arrived at the hospital at aprpximately 1:15pm on August 17th, 2008. I had been in a motorcycle accident four days earlier. I was thrown from the motorcyle and had several incapacitating injuries. I had already some tylonol three medication from Dr. Dewald, a back surgeon awaiting the results from an MRI. I self medicated and stayed off my injuries as much as I could. My right knee was swollen almost three times it's normal size and could not support my weight or straighten the leg on it's own and very painful. The left knee was quite swollen, both the right and left elbow had been points of contact during the accident and were chaffed and swollen, my right rib cage hurt and made it difficult for me to laugh, cough. And my left big toe and knuckle were swollen and very sore. Even as bad as I hurt with the medication I had, lying in bed was a better option to me than going into a hospital emergency room. So on august 17th, at about 1:15 pm I went to the emergency room at Oak Lawn hospital. My complaints were the same just less severe, although the right knee was still twice the size of normal and my ribs really hurt. I explained my symptoms and what had happened to me to the nurse that checked me in, and she got a wheel chair for me, nice lady. Then she wheeled me to a woman that took my general medical history. She wasn't very friendly, not that that is her job, I am just saying. After answereing her questions about my general health history, I was told to go into the waiting room. Once in there, I was called and information about my payment method was taken. I then proceeded to wait in that room for about two to two and a half hours. I then asked to speak to a supervising nurse so that I might know when I could expect to see a doctor if ever. I was eventually told that there were two patients ahead of me. They asked me if I was in pain, and I was but that was not the point, I had come to see a doctor and if for what ever reason there were none available the proper thing to do is to keep the paitient aware, my time may have been better spent either back at home or at another hospital if the staff was couteous, knowlegable, and professional enough to keep it's patients aware of the wait times to see thier doctor's. I then waited another half hour in the waiting room, I was called and rolled to an examining room where I waited fifty minutes before a nurse came in, asked if I was in pain, to which I replied, I will feel better if I can see a doctor. She smiled and closed the door behind her. Ten minutes later at 5:15pm I left, without ever seeing a doctor or knowing the reason why. I wouldn't go back there on a bet.

I had surgery here 2017. I would NEVER recommend this place. Disgusting place and the staff? Should not even be in healthcare. The staff did not give too hoots - NO GAS - gave me gas, strapped me down ROUGHLY - the same with throwing the gas mask on me when I said I needed a preop shot. Left me EXPOSED to a male "helper" while cleaning my front - LEFT POOP all over my backside ( it was DRIED to me and inside...) Took several days to finally reach someone who really didn't give a hoot. I should have gone to the STATE. I had prrof stuff had to cleaned off me by someone else and I had no business standing in the shower. JUST terrible. If I cut off my arm in the parking lot I would GO somewhere else. I should have SUED THEM. Hmm I think I still can.

my mom is blind and paralyzed and no one was feeding her if i was not there. i pushed her nurse call button and no one answered on the intercom or checked on her until 25 minutes later when i finally had to go and seek a nurse to help us. I think the nursing is extremely short staffed and no one seemed to care or really help . i am so dissatisfied i can scream. I hope it does not take a patients death or lawsuit to straighten out this problem.

They were very helpful starting out but soon faded for support. Had problems with getting a support person to help out while my wife was in hospital and when she got home to treat me. She was suposed to get 2 weeks off per her doctors request to recuperate from surgery she had. We were told that we had to get a neighbor or family member to help as the partner. Family member was 3 hrs away and didn't think asking aa neighbor was right. My wife had to argue to get someone over to help whiled she recovered. But yet they send a teck. to someone in Peoria 6 days a week for there partner whiled they could get a family member or neighboor to help out. The reason management didn't want to send someone to me they didnot want to pay mileage to Bloomington for the teck. I feel Bloomington is no different than Peoria area, everone should get treated the same or they should not have taking on this area if it was to far. While the time that ran good for me nobody called to see how things were going or I needed anything. I got my supplies once a month and I don't think they ever was right. I had to make arrangements for it to be corrected. NX stage I didnot have any trouble with and they were very helpful and supportive for me. Affilated Dialysis, East Peoria rateing between 1 and 10 10 being very good I would rate them about a 2. Very poor patient suport seemed it was all about the money with out concerns for the patient.

The nurses except for a few bad seeds are absolutly wonderful. NEVER go in on the weekend because there are no groups nothing to do but twiddle your fingers. The Dr. Rauell or however you spell his name is a complete jackass who diagnosis you within the whole 5 minutes TOTAL that you see him. The social workers could truly care less. And the hospital in general is jut worried about getting you in and out. When i was there 6 patients got released in 1 day and another 4 the next all of whom were not ready in any way shape or form to leave. I was suicidal at the time of my release and they escorted me out of the hospital and left me on the side of the road till my ride could pick me up. if i were in a different mindset other than flabergasted i would have jumped in front of a car (located on busy highway) I would NEVER sugget anyone go there. Bellin is such a better hospital. Even sheboygan has a far better program where they actual care about the patients not just medicate and get you out within 3 days

Had surgery here 3/14/12 and the staff was hit or miss. Anesthesiologists were great! Food was a joke as well- nothing compared to Mercy Medical Center!! I went in 3/7/12 for my pre-operative testing appointment with the anesthesiologist and my information was wrong, I corrected them. When I came in the morning of my surgery-3/14/12, information was not only "lost", but when it was found, it was still wrong. Waiting to go into surgery was fine. It was my first surgery, so I was very scared and told them this, expected them to be understanding based on their profession. The nurses were so unbelievably rude to me when I was first woke up from the surgery, told me I had nothing to be crying about. The poor woman I had to share a room with after surgery, had to sit in her own filth for almost 2 hours. They kept telling this woman they would be back to change her and didn't come back. My fiancé went out and reminded them a 3rd time she needed to be change and was waiting for them. Equipment had a "last date cleaned" date of 3/7/12. Nurses did not help me up to the bathroom, walk, or clean me off of me the first time up after the surgery. They took the catheter out and after that, they really didn't do much of anything. If my fiancé wouldn't have been there I would to have had to do it all myself. The first nurse told me she would help me as a result of I really couldn't move much yet. The second nurse that came in to "help me" with my bed bath, got smart with me that I couldn't bend over to give myself a complete bed bath less than 12 hours after having abdominal surgery. She literately said "You can't bathe yourself? You're going home today!! You need to do this." I understand patients have to motivated and get up and move around, but the nurses should be assisting with this- that's their job. The only time I saw them was when I called them and then they had an attitude with me. These nurses are an absolute joke! P.O.T. nurses were awesome, anesthesiologists were awesome, housekeeping staff was nice. But nurses and intake staff have no customer service or people skills, really very sad. I had been to Affinity's emergency room 2 or 3 times and was hoping to have a good experience with the other staff after being treated so well by the ER staff and P.O.Y. staff. I don't know anyone who has had a good experience at this hospital and now I understand why. I gave this hospital a chance instead of waiting for an opening at one of the other area hospitals. Glad it's over and I don't ever have to return to that hell hole.
